The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) called on the international community to protest against the military junta and take responsive action against them for their inhumane activities.
  • The NUG stated that the junta army had conducted an airstrike killing a large number of civilians in Pazigyi Village of Kantbalu Township in Sagaing Region. They also claimed that they would not forgive the junta’s crimes such as massacres, war crimes and crimes against humanity, and take serious action against them.
  • The Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw strongly condemned the junta’s aerial attack on Pazigyi Village in Kantbalu Township in Sagaing Region.
  • To express sorrow for the loss of over 100 people in the junta’s airstrike in Pazigyi Village, the Ministry of Defence-NUG instructed flying the PDF flags at half mast all over the country from 10 to 15 April.

Revolution Activities

  • The US Foreign Ministry denounced the junta’s airstrike on a gathering of over 150 people including many children in Pazigyi Village of Kantbalu Township in Sagaing Region on Tuesday morning.
  • In Kantbalu Township of Sagaing Region, two Mi35 helicopters of the junta army were on patrol on Pazigyi Village at about 10:00 am Wednesday. Consequently, the rescue activities could not be continued on the ground.
  • In Yinmabin Township, the junta army shot heavy artillery for no apparent reason. Reportedly, a young child aged 12 lost their life and 2 others were injured.
  • In Butalin Township, there was a battle between Zeedaw Village and Ywathit Village.
  • On Wednesday, Monywa Youth Association conducted an anti-junta movement, placing a banner at the clock tower, the nearest station of the junta army.
  • On Wednesday morning, a rally of Yinmabin North marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Hpakant of Kachin State, the members of KPDF carried out a protest against the military dictatorship, chanting the slogans of Revolution Thingyan. They also showed their support for the KIA, PDF and NUG.
  • In Hpa-Ang of Kayin State, the sound of a mine explosion was heard in front of the police station, according to local residents.
  • Regarding the 2023 Thingyan which will fall in the Spring Revolution, the Special Force Column-PDF Commando Battalion released a video containing their calls and wishes.
  • Somewhere in Yangon Region, young members of Soft Strike Community placed a banner “Why are you dancing while the whole village is on fire?” at an overhead bridge on Wednesday.
  • In Kandawgyi on Wednesday, youth conducted an anti-junta movement with Thingyan pots to express their sorrow for the victims in Pazigyi Village of Kantbalu Township.
  • In Gyobinkauk Township of Bago Region, Basic Education Students’ Union placed anti-junta banners in Paypinkone Village on Tuesday.
  • The Secretary General of the United Nations condemned the junta’s airstrike which had killed no less than 100 people in Pazigyi Village of Kantbalu Township in Sagaing Region.
  • The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights stated that he was horrified by the junta’s aerial bombing on Pazigyi Village killing about 100 people including children and women on Tuesday.
  • According to Yangon Khit Thit, Captain Than Toe Aung and Captain Bone Thet Naing, the junta pilots, flew Yak-130 fighter jet which had killed about 100 people in Pazigyi Village of Kantbalu Township.
  • In Taungtha Township of Mandalay Region, PDF attacked a car of 3 people including the junta administrator of Tabinkan Village on NyaungU-Myingyan Road. Reportedly, all three people died.
  • In Pauk Township of Magwe Region, there was an anti-junta movement prior to Revolution Thingyan at a public’s school.
  • Kyar-In Seikgyi Township Students’ Union conducted an anti-junta movement themed ‘Bloody Thingyan’.
  • In Gyobinkauk Township, a combined rally of students’ unions protested against the military dictatorship.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Hakha Township of Chin State, Chinland Defence Force Council announced on Wednesday that they had confiscated the local office and the assets of the Union Solidarity and Development Party.

The Military Council

  • On Wednesday, the military junta issued a warrant with the prize money worth 300 lakh MMK for the arrest of Ko Min Lwin Oo, a leader of the Strike Committee in Longlone Township of Taninthayi Region.
  • In Kyauk Badaung Township of Mandalay Region, the fully-armed junta army has been conducting tight inspection at the tollbooth at the entrance to town starting from Wednesday morning.
  • In Kachin State, the military junta sentenced 5-year imprisonment to the 13 KIA members who had been arrested at Happy Restaurant in Myitkyina.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing claimed that Lashio Airport is the main one in Shan North to promote trade between China and Myanmar.
  • The junta leader stated that the residential home of a hereditary chief was restored to the original state to identify and maintain the history of such leaders.

Summary on 12 April

  • The junta armed forces have been openly committing war crimes. They may keep doing that and thus, it is necessary for the people and the leaders in conflict zones to live with great caution.
  • The military junta led by Min Aung Hlaing, the army lobbyists and pro-military people have been planning to oppress anti-junta people in various ways and they have been even after those who changed black profile picture on their social media to show their sorrow related to a large number of casualties.
