The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • At 8:30 am Monday, there was a meeting via video conferencing between Hon. Ms. Vanushi Walters, an MP from New Zealand, and the Committee Representing the Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH). Reportedly, the CRPH representatives called on the government of New Zealand to increase economic and political pressure on the military junta, provide direct support for the effort for Myanmar’s democracy, grant Myanmar refugees on the border asylum and give humanitarian aid.
  • At 10:00 am Monday, there was a meeting between the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration- NUG and Township People’s Administration Teams from Bago Region, Ayeyarwady Region, Yangon Region and Taninthayi Region.
  • At 10:00 am Sunday, the CRPH invited MPs from Sagaing Region, Magwe Region, Mandalay Region and Shan State to a meeting. They then made presentations about their activities.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In the east of Lewe in Nay Pyi Taw, there was a battle between the PDF and the junta army near the local cement factory on Tuesday morning.
  • On Monday evening, there was a grenade attack at the junta police station in Lewe. Reportedly, a policeman died and 3 others were injured.
  • In Tamway Township of Yangon Region, there were bomb explosions twice near the Local Electricity Office on Tuesday morning.
  • Yangon Urban Guerrillas called for no installation of CCTV unless necessary as there have been more cases in which revolutionaries got arrested due to CCTV records.
  • In Sagaing Township of Sagaing Region, the junta armed forces set fire to over 50 houses in Yonebin Village and many others during their invasion on 10 June. They also took away valuable things from people’s houses.
  • On their 815th day of protest, a combined rally of Salingyi and Yinmabin marched against the military dictatorship on Tuesday, holding signs for strong determination.
  • On 6 June, Salingyi Special Task Force conducted bomb attacks via drone on the Northwest Military Headquarters in Monywa and the junta police station in Kani.
  • In Yinmabin Township, a rally of Shwe Oakkan protested against the military dictatorship on Tuesday.
  • On Monday, a social group ‘Anyar Pyit Tie Taung Lay Myar’ gave IDPs from Salingyi Township a meal.
  • In Shwebo Township, a troop of over 70 junta soldiers faced a mine attack in the east of Thanbo Village on Monday morning. Reportedly, 3 of them died.
  • In the south of Kalay, the junta army fired mortars into Toma Village on Monday night. Reportedly, some houses were damaged.
  • In Minkin Township, a local PDF attacked the Pyusawti Camp in Ingyin-Taung Village on 8 June. Reportedly, 3 junta members died and 4 others were caught alive together with weapons.
  • In Paungte Township of Bago Region, Tin Aung Lay, a Pyusawti member and a local guide for a junta troop, was shot dead in the east of Latpankone Village at about 5:00 pm Sunday.
  • In Thayetchaung Township of Taninthayi Region, there was a heavy fighting between the PDF and the junta army near Yange Village on Sunday morning. Reportedly, junta soldiers burnt the village.
  • In Taninthayi Township, there was a mine attack on the junta army from Theinnaw Camp. Reportedly, a junta soldier died and 6 others were seriously injured.
  • In Mobye of Shan South, there were casualties among the junta soldiers due to their own mortars.
  • In Mese Township of Karenni State, revolutionary forces took control of the police station on Tuesday morning. Reportedly, many junta members including the junta Chief Officer of the Station died.
  • In California State of the US, there was a celebration of Burma Day on Monday, along with an anti-junta protest, in front of the Capital Parliamentary Building.
  • In Mandalay Region, the TBK Force based in Thabaitgyin Township called for contributions to their rations and medicines in the rainy season.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Indaw Township of Sagaing Region, a combined force of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and PDFs attacked the junta police station in Meza Village on Sunday morning.
  • In Shweku Township, the KPDF Regiment (12) announced on Monday that they would not allow the junta schools to open in the area under their control.
  • According to the Chin Defence Force- Mindat, they will conduct a campaign in honor of Mother Su’s Birthday by drawing lots and giving presents to the donors with the three dresses worn by Daw Aung San Su Kyi in her tour in Mindat.
  • The Alliance of the MNDAA, TNLA and AA released a statement welcoming the forming of the Interim Administration Council during the revolution period.

The Military Council

  • In a meeting on Monday, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing stated that the cost of food should not be high in Myanmar, which is an agricultural country full of natural and human resources.
  • The junta Counter-Terrorism Team announced that the houses and apartments in states and regions, which bombers and assassins have rented and stayed in, will be investigated and confiscated.
  • On Monday, the military junta announced that they had provided more than 100 lakh MMK to the two members of the KIA who had defected to them along with weapons.
  • On Monday, the Chinese Government donated relief items worth about 100,000 USD for the victims of Cyclone Mocha in Myanmar. Reportedly, the junta Chief Minister of Yangon Region received them.
  • According to the junta’s Myanma Trade Promotion Team, over 10 countries have granted tax exemption of 0% for the import of Myanmar’s coffee.
  • According to the junta Customs Department, non-customs goods confiscated from January to April 2023 were worth 33 billion MMK.
  • In Tandabin Township of Bago Region, there was military and explosive training given to the wives of the soldiers in junta army Regiment (73). In an exercise of shooting mortars, an accident happened, killing many of them.

Summary on 14 June

  • In the revolution, the people’s defensive war has gradually turned into the offensive one. At the same time, the areas under the influence of revolutionary forces have increased.
  • In Nay Pyi Taw where the military junta is based and the surounding area, there have been urban guerrilla attacks and clashes. In other words, the military junta led by Min Aung Hlaing has been at a loss.
