Yangon Region

. In South Dagon Township, junta soldiers opened fire to disperse a queue for oxygen refills in Industrial Zone (1) on Lwaikaw street at about 9:56 pm Monday.

. During the third wave of COVID-19 in Myanmar, the number of confirmed cases is on the rise and the public are faced with an oxygen shortage. To brighten their corner in such a situation, New Aye Sonni Jermay mosque has been contributing oxygen to the public.

. At about 10:00 am Tuesday, the youth in Yangon made a guerrilla protest against the military dictatorship near the turning of (1) Market in Thaketa Township.

Mandalay Region

. Amidst tight security measures by the junta armed forces in Pyigyi Dagun Township, residents managed to conduct their night strike against the military dictatorship and for the emergence of the Federal Union on Monday.

. On Monday night, a rally led by Mandalay Monks’ Union recited Parittas for the public.

. To mark their 155-day protest, a rally led by Mandalay Monks’ Union expressed their objection to the military dictatorship on Tuesday.

. According to some protest leaders, the junta armed forces made a crackdown on Myataung and Mandala rally on Thaitpan road at about 6:30 am Tuesday. In the incident, a person was injured by a gunshot and 7 people were arrested.

. On Tuesday morning, a rally of Aungmye Thazan Township Schools marched against the military dictatorship. They then prayed for freedom from COVID-19 and the military junta at Maha Myatmuni Buddha image.

. According to residents of Myingyan, gunshots and bomb explosions were heard all over the town at about 11:40 Tuesday.

Sagaing Region

. According to residents of Kani Township, the junta armed forces raided the forests and killed a total of 15 IDPs from Yin village group.

. To mark their 125-day protest, a rally comprising various villages from Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched up to Pathein-Monywa highway and expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship.

. On Tuesday morning, Kalay residents marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship.

. At about 9:00 pm Monday, there was a bomb explosion near Katha police station. Reportedly, there was also gunfire.

. In Monywa, there was an anti-junta movement on Tuesday, with the theme- “Let’s fight against the devils to overcome the crisis”.

. In Butalin Township, residents of Ngapayin, the native village of warrior Maha Bandula, distributed masks for the prevention of COVID-19 and protested against the military dictatorship.

. In Tantsi Township, there was a rally led by the youth on Tuesday for the downfall of the military dictatorship.

Magwe Region

. In Myaing Township, the public from the southern zone made a powerful protest against the military dictatorship on Tuesday.

. In Natmauk Township, the youth made an event with best wishes for PDFs on Tuesday.

. In Gantgaw Township, the junta armed forces raided Hnamka village. Therefore, the villagers had to run away. Reportedly, they dare not return home yet.

Ayeyarwady Region

. According to residents of Myaungmya, staff members of the junta electricity department had been cutting the power lines to houses which refused to pay electricity bills in town since Tuesday morning.

Bago Region

. In Bago, the youth led an anti-junta movement on Monday night, with the theme- “We will fight against the junta army to overcome the crisis”.

Taninthayi Region

. In Dawei, the students and the public from the eastern area marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Monday night.

In Thayetchaung, four people including Ko Myo Min Oo, a disabled man and a member of working committee for Myanmar’s Youth Policy was arrested. Reportedly, the junta township administration council had called them with a lie that they wanted to discuss with them.

. Amidst violent crackdowns by the junta armed forces, Dawei General Strike, in cooperation with a rally of young students made a guerrilla protest against the military dictatorship on Tuesday.

. According to residents of Tharame village in the east of Myeik, the junta armed forces in plain clothes arrested the vice-chair of NLD and three CDM teachers on Monday night.

. In Dawei, basic education students made an anti-junta movement on Tuesday, with words of encouragement for Lower Yebyu village in Longlone Township where the junta armed forces had raided.

. In Longlone Township, the youth went around the villages on Tuesday afternoon and expressed their desire for the end of the military dictatorship.

. In Longlone Township, there was a guerrilla protest against the military dictatorship in Lower Yebyu village on Tuesday evening.

. In Longlone Township, Nyinmaw villagers made a motorbike protest against the military dictatorship on Tuesday evening.

Kachin State

. In Moegaung Township, residents expressed their objection to the military dictatorship on Tuesday morning.

. In Myitgyina, there was a sticker campaign against the military junta on Tuesday morning, applying human waste to the stickers containing an image of Min Aung Hlaing and placing them on the streets.

. In Pha-Kant, a rally of residents from Lonekhine group expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship on Tuesday morning.

Kayah State

. According to residents in Lwaikaw Township, the IDPs from Tilone group and Tisekam group need tarpaulins and food.

Mon State

. In Paung Township, the youth made indoors strike for the downfall of the military dictatorship.

Kayin State

. In Pha-An Township, there were exchanges of fire for one hour between the junta armed forces and KNLA Regiment (1) near Mipone village at about 8:00 pm Monday. Reportedly, there was no injury on the side of KNLA.

Shan State

. Lasho People’s Security and Defense Army announced on Monday, calling on the public to stay away from the junta armed forces and informers to the junta.

. In Maikai Township of Shan South, over 700 IDPs, who have fled to Wamhwelone village, need tarpaulin and food.

. Taunggyi Guerrilla Force announced that they would clear the junta armed forces, their accomplices and informers in Taunggyi very soon. Therefore, the public is to stay away from them and not to take records of those clearance activities.

. In Taunggyi, the junta armed forces arrested Ko Lynn Aung, resident of the area (11) in Kantha Ward, on Monday night.

Nay Pyi Taw

. Ministry of Human Rights- NUG criticized that the military junta lack political goodwill and they have been taking political advantage of the third wave of COVID-19 to weaken anti-junta movements of the public.

. According to reliable sources, there are COVID-19 infected cases and their related deaths in prisons at an alarming rate. Regarding it, the National Commission for Prevention, Treatment and Control of COVID-19- NUG gave a strong warning to the military junta on Tuesday.

. According to the report on international genocide and atrocities prevention released by The U.S foreign affairs ministry the previous day, Myanmar is one of the countries at most risk of genocide. The U.S government announced that they would continue to take action.

. The UN Human Rights Council approved the decision condemning human rights violations of the Myanmar Army.

. As the hospitals can no longer accept COVID-19 confirmed cases, the patients have to get medical treatment at home. The number of people who die of oxygen shortage is on the rise daily. However, the junta leader falsely claimed in the junta newspaper on Tuesday that there is sufficient oxygen.

Summary on 14th July

. In Yangon, the rate of COVID-19 infection is increasing. The junta hospitals cannot give medical treatment to COVID patients. Besides this, the military junta continue to restrict the oxygen availability of those who have been receiving medical treatment on their own. They opened fire to disperse a queue waiting for oxygen refills the previous night. On the other hand, there were still guerrilla protests against the military dictatorship.

. In Mandalay, there were public protests as usual. However, the junta armed forces made a crackdown on Myataung and Mandala rally in the early morning. Consequently, 7 people were arrested and a person was injured by a gunshot. No matter what, the protests in Mandalay proceeded with great momentum.

. In Sagaing Region and Taninthayi Region, public protests still had great momentum. In other states and regions, there were still anti-junta movements. As for Shan State, local PDFs announced that they would carry out informer-clearance activities.

. The treatment program of COVID-19 by the military junta is terrible. There are also restrictions to oxygen availability of the patients who have been getting treatment on their own. Despite the false claim of the junta leader that oxygen is sufficient, it is disheartening to see the deaths of many COVID patients who lost their lives due to a lack of oxygen. The military junta must deal with their human rights violations and genocides in the international community.
