The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • On Wednesday, the Ministry of International Cooperations- NUG released a statement strongly condemning the massacre of 26 locals by the junta army in the neighborhood of Mobye in Shan South from 6 to 8 June.
  • In Hpa-An Township of Kayin State, the military junta sealed off and confiscated the houses belonging to Minister of Labor- NUG and the MP for Bhama people in Htone-I Village.
  • The Deputy Minister of Labor- NUG claimed that it is time for the International Labor Organization to acknowledge the representatives of the NUG.
  • On Tuesday, there was a meeting between the Committee Representing the Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the Ministry of Human Rights- NUG. Reportedly, they discussed cooperation not only at state and regional level but also at township level.
  • In Geneva, Switzerland, the Minister of Human Rights- NUG, the International Focal Person of the Ministry of Labor- NUG and the Chair of the Myanmar Federation of Labor Unions met with the International Federation of Labor Unions and the responsible personnel of the US International Labor Affairs on Wednesday.
  • At 1:00 pm Wednesday, there was a meeting between the Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration- NUG and Township People’s Administration from Magwe Region and Mandalay Region.
  • At 10:00 am Wednesday, the CRPH presented about activities to the MPs from Taninthayi Region, Bago Region, Yangon Region and Ayeyarwady Region.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In Sagaing Region, a rally of the Monywa-Amyint Roadside Strike Committee marched against the military dictatorship on Thursday prior to the 78th birthday of State Counsellor Daw Aung San Su Kyi.
  • On Thursday, a combined rally of villages from Salingyi and Yinmabin marched for the end of the military dictatorship.
  • In Yinmabin Township, a rally of Youth Strength marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Thursday.
  • In Myaung Township, Local Youth Network, in cooperation with local residents, marched against the military dictatorship on Thursday morning.
  • In Khin-U Township, the junta army set fire to Thargara Village at 5:30 am Thursday.
  • In Ayadaw Township, the junta army burnt Magyizauk Village for the third time at about 5:00 am Thursday.
  • In Monywa, there was an attack on the junta army stationed in the Government Technological University at about 1:00 pm Wednesday. Reportedly, 3 junta soldiers died.
  • In Sagaing Township, the junta army set fire to Thazin Village on Tuesday. Reportedly, about 700 houses were burnt to ashes and Daw Than Myint, a woman of 50, was burnt to death.
  • In Salingyi Township, the junta army set fire to Hnindaw Village on Wednesday morning. They also shot dead a local and arrested 8 others.
  • After the attack on Nyaungbingyi Police Camp in Salingyi Township, the junta army has been burning Nyaungbingyi Village Tract on a daily basis. So far, nearly 600 houses were burnt and damaged.
  • With military operations in Yangon Region, Dark Side Revolution Burma has had to suspend some urban missions recently due to the needs on the ground.
  • In Natmauk Township of Magwe Region, Htet Ko Linn, a junta sergeant, was shot dead at 5:45 am Wednesday while he was on his way out getting rations for No. (2) Regiment.
  • In Tandabin Township of Bago Region, 3 unknown gunmen on a motorbike opened fire at Tabyay junta army camp on Wednesday night. Reportedly, a sergeant died in the incident.
  • In Paungty Township, there was an attack on the junta army invading Bago Mountain Range at about 11:30 am Tuesday. Reportedly, a junta soldier died.
  • In Yebyu Township of Taninthayi Region, the junta army arrested a woman, the owner of a hardware store, in Ward (3) of Kalaingaung, accusing her of supporting the PDF. They then released her on Tuesday night.
  • In the west of Pekone in Karenni State, the military junta lost a large number of junta soldiers including an officer in local battles of Kaung-Ei Village Tract from 3 to 13 June.
  • In Pekone Township of Shan South, the junta army shot dead a person on his way back to Mobye on Wednesday.
  • In Mobye, the junta army committed a massacre of 26 people from 6 to 8 June.
  • The People’s Destination comprising of CDM soldiers stated that the junta army led by Min Aung Hlaing had to watch their own forces due to significant disorganization.
  • According to Assistance Association for Political Prisoners, the military junta sentenced 15 people to death in the first five months of 2023.
  • In the Spring Film Festival in Japan in May, the organizers got a revolution fund worth over 2,000 lakh MMK.
  • In commemoration of the birthday of Daw Aung San Su Kyi, the Director Ko Pauk created a song based on the poem of Min Ko Naing- ‘Still the blossom of rose’.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • In Yay Township of Mon State, the KNLA attacked a military car near Hti May Baw Bridge at 5:45 pm Wednesday. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers died.
  • Somewhere in the Headquarters of the Karen National Union (KNU), the 74th Kawthoolei Day was briefly celebrated on Wednesday morning.
  • In Phapun District under the KNU, there were more than 30 local battles in half a month. Reportedly, 20 junta soldiers died and many others were injured.
  • In Pekone Township on the border of Shan State and Karenni State, an alliance of PDFs attacked the junta army for 11 days. Reportedly, at least 27 junta soldiers including a colonel died.
  • With intense military tension against the junta army, the Ta’ang National Liberation Army has been selling a Ta’ang lottery ticket for 2,000 MMK. Reportedly, their highest prize money will be 500 lakh MMK.

The Military Council

  • On Wednesday, the second junta leader Soe Win stated that the power supply must be resumed in all townships of Rakhine State, hit by Cyclone Mocha, in the first week of July.
  • According to the junta Ministry of Economics and Commerce, foreign trade was worth over 5 billion USD in the two months of 2023-24 fiscal year.
  • The junta Minister of Immigration stated that personal information and bio-related data would be collected via E-ID system and all eligible citizens would be issued with national ID cards.
  • According to the junta Myanmar Examination Department on Wednesday, the score certificates for the matriculation exam are being issued at their headquarters in Nay Pyi Taw and their branch in Yangon.
  • According to the junta Internal Revenue Department, 70% of the sale price of the Aungbale Lottery will be prize money.
  • According to the military junta, General Aung San Museum and the Cabinet Office in Yangon will be opened for the public on Martyrs’ Day on 19 July.
  • For the Yangon Bus Service (YBS) running in Yangon Region, the junta YRTC has been organizing mobile payment via QR Code by the end of 2023.
