The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The Acting President of the NUG claimed that there would be no impunity for the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing and his followers. He added that the NUG has been carrying out activities to send them to international courts.
  • The Acting President called on the international community to provide assistance with weapons for air defence as soon as possible.
  • Regarding the junta airstrikes that killed a large number of people in Pazigyi Village in Kantbalu Township in Sagaing Region on 11 April, the Acting President of the NUG called on the international community to respond against the military junta, arms dealers and aviation oil importers.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In Nattalin Township of Bago Region, the junta army told local people to leave their villages near Taungnyo Dam near Bago Mountain Range. Consequently, the public have had to flee their homes.
  • In Paungty Township, Tun Tun Oo, the junta administrator of Thakutsauk Village and allegedly Pyusawti leader, was shot dead at his house.
  • In Hinthada in Ayeyarwady Region, there was a bomb explosion in the compound of the house belonging to the junta District Police Officer Kyaw Mya Than at 8:50 pm Saturday.
  • In Myinmu Township of Sagaing Region, there was an attack with GPS bombs on the junta soldiers demanding money from the public and dancing drunk in Tisaung Village at 3:45 pm Saturday.
  • On the last day of Thingyan, Monywa-Amyint Road Community marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Kani Township, there was a night strike in a local village on Saturday to show their sorrow for the casualties of people in the junta’s air attack on Pazigyi Village in Kantbalu Township.
  • The revolutionary forces called on the public all over the country to take part in power-off strike on Myanmar’s New Year Day in memory of the people who lost their lives in Pazigyi Village a week ago.
  • On Sunday, Taze Township General Strike marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Pale Township, young people from Daung Thwe Thit Group performed Thingyan slogans against the military dictatorship.
  • In Kani Township, local people conducted rice-ball strike against the military dictatorship on Sunday.
  • According to the latest information, over 170 people including women and children lost their lives in the junta’s aerial bombing of Pazigyi Village on 11 April.
  • In Pathein in Ayeyarwaddy Region, there was a bomb explosion at the soldier recruitment office at 7:36 pm Saturday.
  • In Yay Township in Mon State, a local guerrilla force demolished a MyTel telecom tower between Kyaukmichaung Village and Kyonelong Village.
  • In Seoul of South Korea, there was a march against the junta’s air attack on Pazigyi Village in front of Myanmar’s Military Consulate.
  • In Chin State, the junta army set fire to Himyalawtar Village on Saturday. Reportedly, almost the whole village was burnt down.
  • In Thayetchaung Township of Taninthayi Region, youth protested against the military dictatorship on Sunday, chanting ‘We don’t enjoy the junta’s Thingyan’.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • In Kyaukgyi Township under Karen National Union Brigade (3), the junta army arrested 6 people from two local villages and took them away as guides.
  • Loikaw PDF and Falcon Wings conducted attacks on the central watch camp of the junta regional military headquarters and the central pandal in the compound of the junta state government office.

The Military Council

  • In the list of 100 most influential people by the US Time Magazine, Min Aung Hlaing was chosen as a notorious world leader.
  • On Saturday, the wife of the junta leader and her team joined the water festival of the junta captains-to-be in Pyin Oo Lwin.
  • The junta propaganda team announced that there were two bomb explosions at the celebration of Thingyan at a religious hall in Ayadaw Township in Sagaing Region at 5:30 pm on Saturday.
  • On Saturday, most Yangon residents did not take part in the water festival. However, the junta Yangon Media Group falsely claimed that it was crowded in the walking Thingyan at the Mayor’s Pandal and the People’s Square Pandal.
