The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • In San Francisco of the United States, the Union Minister of the NUG met with the supporters of the Spring Revolution on Sunday.
  • In commemoration of his birthday, U Aung Myo Min, the Minister of Human Rights- NUG, provided financial support to the fire victims in Sagaing Township.
  • At 10:00 am on Saturday, there was a meeting between the Interim Judiciary Department under the Ministry of Judiciary Affairs- NUG and the judges from 28 courts on the ground.
  • At 1:00 pm on Sunday, there was a meeting between the Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration- NUG and the Committee Representing the Sagaing Regional Hluttaw.
  • On Sunday, Taninthayi Township PDF announced that Htonekha-Maungtaung Road, the border trade road section, was closed temporarily starting on 16 July.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In Sagaing Region, a rally of Yinmabin North marched against the military dictatorship on Monday morning.
  • In Sartaung Township, local PDFs conducted a mine attack on a junta army car on its way to the local police station. Reportedly, 4 junta soldiers were hit and they might have died.
  • In Taze Township, No. (8) Shwebo District PDF attacked a junta troop and Kantooma Police Station on Saturday.
  • In Kawlin, two junta soldiers, who had been robbing with hand-made guns, were arrested by a local PDF in Mintegone Ward on Friday. Reportedly, one of them died and another one was caught alive.
  • In Yinmabin, there was an attack via projectiles on No. (28) Police Force at 12:00 pm on 11 July. Reportedly, 3 junta members died and a mortar in the compound was damaged.
  • In Monywa, Daw Thidar Cho, Yinmabin District Education Officer, was shot dead in front of her house in Inywathit Ward on 14 July.
  • In Myinmu Township, the junta army raided Menaw Village at 4:30 am Sunday. Reportedly, they took away people’s belongings and set fire to the whole village.
  • In Kantbalu Township, Kawlin Township and Kyunghla Township, the military junta has carried out power black-outs in 25 local villages for more than 4 months.
  • In Magwe of Magwe Region, there was an attack using 107mm grenade on the junta air force at 1:00 am Monday. Reportedly, the fuel oil warehouse was hit and exploded. There were also casualties in the incident.
  • In Kamma of Pakkoku Township, local PDFs removed the sign calling for the disarmament of PDFs and replaced it with a sign calling for the disarmament of soldiers.
  • In Thazi of Mandalay Region, a former soldier and junta-appointed administrator was shot dead at 4:40 pm on Sunday.
  • In Longlone Township of Taninthayi Region, there was an attack via mortars on Maungmakan Police Station on the morning of 13 July. Reportedly, 2 junta policemen died.
  • In Florida of the United States, there was a fund-raising sale for the revolution along with a meeting.

Ethnic Armed Organisations (EAOs)

  • In Winyay of KyarIn Seikgyi Township in Kayin State, there was a battle between the junta army and local PDFs on 14 July. Afterwards, the junta soldiers shot dead two civilians.
  • According to the Headquarters of Karen National Liberation Army, there were 2,222 battles in Kayin State within 6 months. Reportedly, 2,333 junta soldiers died.
  • In the Kawthoolei Administrative Area under the Karen National Union (KNU), the 76th anniversary of the Karen National Defence Organisation was celebrated on Sunday.
  • In Karenni State, there have been heavy battles. The Chair of the Karenni Revolution Union called on the public to take part in the 10,000-bullet campaign.
  • In Thatone Township of Mon State, the junta army fired heavy artillery at local villages at 1:30 am on 11 July. According to KNU Central, a person lost their life whereas a school, a clinic and two houses were damaged.
  • In Kutkhine Township of Shan North, the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) raided and destroyed the junta army camp near Komone Village on Sunday.

The Military Council

  • The meeting of the National Defence and Security Council will be by the end of July. As such time is approaching, the junta leader showed off so-called Acting President Myint Swe in public at the pagoda construction site in Naypyi Taw on Sunday.
  • The junta Minister of Foreign Affairs was present at the 12th Mekong- Ganga Cooperation Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (12th MGC FMM) held on 16 July and took up the responsibility of the joint chairmanship from Laos.
  • On Sunday, there was a meeting between the junta Minister of Foreign Affairs U Than Swe and the Foreign Minister of Thailand Don Pramudwinai in Bangkok.
  • The junta Ministry of Labor permanently revoked the licenses of two overseas employment agencies as they failed to seek jobs for workers although they took the service fee in advance.
  • The junta Central Bank of Myanmar announced that it would continue its effort to develop a digital payment system and contribute to the national economy.
  • According to the junta Ministry of Health, operations on Spinal Deformity got started in 2005. With an average of 12 patients per year, more than 200 people have received such treatment so far.
  • The junta Myanmar Railway Department announced that some stations along the city-train railway in Yangon would be rebuilt.
  • The Chair of the Gold Enterprise Association stated that the jewels made of gold could be exported with a taxation rate of 0%.
  • The NUG and revolutionary forces claimed that they would attack Naypyi Taw, the headquarters of the military junta. Afterwards, there were tight security measures at the junta ministries and offices there.
  • After the military coup for more than two years, the car prices in Myanmar have increased five times and the military junta has prohibited the import of cars due to a lack of foreign currency.
  • In Winemaw Township, there has been heavy fighting between the junta army and the Kachin Independence Army. Reportedly, junta members and their families from the nearby town have been sent to Bamaw.
  • The military junta placed tight security measures at the Mausoleum in Bahan Township and the Capital Office in Bodataung Township for the celebration of Martyrs’ Day.
  • In Taninthayi Region, a boat carrying junta soldiers sank at the mouth of the river at about 7:00 pm Sunday. Reportedly, 30 of them might have drowned.
