The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • At 10:00 am Monday, there was a meeting between the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration- NUG and Township People’s Administration Teams from Sagaing Region, Mandalay Region and Magwe Region.
  • According to PDF Headquarters under the Ministry of Defence- NUG on Tuesday, Pakkoku District PDFs managed to clear off 63 junta soldiers in local battles in July.
  • At 3:00 pm on Monday, there was a meeting between the Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration- NUG and Township People’s Administrations from Sagaing Region.
  • Regarding the current political situation, the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) and the NUG conducted a special meeting at 4:00 pm on Monday.
  • The NUCC and the NUG pledged that even if State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi came out, the route of the revolution would not change.
  • In the United States, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs- NUG went to Iowa State and met with the Myanmar community for 3 days.
  • According to the Ministry of Human Rights- NUG, the military junta has committed 114 cases of massacre since the coup, killing 1595 people.

Revolution Activities

  • In Monywa of Sagaing Region, there was an attack on junta soldiers and police inspecting pedestrians near to the Zalote Round-about. Reportedly, 2 junta policemen died and 3 others were injured.
  • In Kani Township, the displaced people conducted an anti-junta movement on the special occasion of the Waso Full-Moon Day on Tuesday.
  • In Dibeyin Township, an alliance of PDFs attacked Kanphyar Inspection Gate. Reportedly, 6 junta soldiers died and weapons were confiscated.
  • On Tuesday, a combined rally of Yinmabin and Salingyi marched against the military dictatorship.
  • On the Monywa-Ayadaw Road Section, the Black Dragon Force attacked the junta armed forces carrying out inspections. Reportedly, 2 junta policemen died.
  • On Monday, a total of 11 revolutionary forces announced that they strongly object to anyone or any organization on the path of negotiation with the military junta.
  • The members of the ASEAN Parliament called on ASEAN to exclude Myanmar’s military junta from all their joint military operations.
  • In Myaung Township, there were mine attacks on junta troops, the local police station and the general administration department. Reportedly, a junta member died and many others were injured.
  • According to Justice for Myanmar, it has started an investigation into Man Energy Solution from Germany for their import of essential parts for the junta navy’s Mottama Vessels.
  • In Mandalay Region, No More Dictatorship People’s Defence Force conducted attacks using 80mm grenades into Nandwin Regiment containing the junta mid-regional military headquarters and the junta interrogation office (16) in Amarapura.

Ethnic Armed Organisations (EAOs)

  • In Kayin State, the junta army shot mortars to regain control of their camp in Mount Latkhat near Myawaddy.
  • On the Mobye-Loikaw Road connecting Shan State and Karenni State, there were local battles between junta armed forces and Karenni Combined Forces for a week. According to the Karenni Nationalities Defence Force, no less than 20 junta soldiers including a captain died.
  • The United League of Arakan/ Arakan Army conducted sniper training for Bamar People's Liberation Army (BPLA).
  • Among those given amnesty by the military junta on Tuesday were members and associates of the EAOs.

The Military Council

  • On Tuesday, the military junta announced that it had declared an amnesty on members of EAOs and dismissed charges against the associates of EAOs.
  • In Kyungsu Township in Taninthayi Region, 17 people including an infant were arrested by the junta police who accused them of having relations with the PDFs. Reportedly, they have not been released yet.
  • Under the signature of Aung Lin Dway on Tuesday, the military junta declared an amnesty on 7,749 prisoners from all over the country.
  • The junta MWD TV broadcast on Tuesday afternoon that the military junta had declared an amnesty on sentences related to some of the cases against President U Win Myint and State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.

  • The public and revolutionary forces consider that there is no need to thank the military junta as they have just freed those whom they unlawfully arrested.
  • The military junta has arrested, held hostage and killed civilians including children, where there is no fighting. Therefore, it is necessary to take action against the junta members from the top to the grassroots level.
