The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • Ministry of Defence-NUG announced that more than 20 members of the junta armed forces had died in the battle in Banmauk Township of Sagaing Region on Thursday and proper medical treatment had been provided to the prisoners of war.
  • According to Mid-Regional Special Operation Forces, they conducted attacks via snipers at the junta armed forces in Pekone Township on the border of Shan and Karenni. Reportedly, 7 junta soldiers died.
  • The secretary of Ministry of Defence-NUG said that the military junta had been spreading false news as they had a great loss in battles in Kayin State.
  • According to United Bonds, they have been building strong networks and cooperation of EROs for efficiency and effectiveness of the fund from the sale of NUG bonds in a timely manner.
  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs-NUG announced on Friday that the effort of the military junta to organize the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Meeting was against the desire of the people and the establishment of the Myanmar community.

Revolution Activities

  • On Friday, a combined rally of Salingyi and Yinmabin marched against the military dictatorship on Pathein-Monywa Road.
  • In Khin-U Township, a soldier from the junta force in charge of security at a local bridge opened gunfire wildly at about 9:00 am Wednesday. Consequently, a man and his daughter aged 3 were hit with bullets. Reportedly, the little girl has been receiving medical treatment.
  • In Kani Township, local people conducted an event in memory of the 5 martyrs who had lost lives due to the junta army the previous year. They also protested against the military dictatorship.
  • In Myinmu Township, a 12-wheel truck with junta soldiers was attacked with mines near Gwaybindaw Village on ChaungU-Myinmu Road on Friday morning.
  • In Sagaing Township, Nyi Nyi, a leader of Pyusawti in Paukka Village, was assassinated by local PDF at about 3:00 pm Wednesday.
  • In Butalin Township, Black Dragon Special Task Force conducted an attack with mortars on Kudaw Police Station. Reportedly, 6 members of the junta armed forces died and many others were injured.
  • On Friday, Mandalay Monks’ Union led an anti-junta movement, reciting Parittas.
  • In Paung Township of Mon State, Me Lone, the junta administrator of Kadonesee Ward, was shot dead on his way back from a karaoke lounge.
  • In Hpakant Township of Kachin State, a rally of gems mine workers marched against the military dictatorship on Friday.
  • At about 5:00 pm Thursday, the junta army destroyed the house of MP Ko Aung Hein Min, which had already been sealed off in Hpakant.
  • In North Okkalapa Township of Yangon Region, Thit Lwin, a pro-military man and religious extremist as well as chair of Myanmar National Organization, was shot and seriously injured.
  • In Dagon Seikkam Township, a local urban guerrilla force blew up the traffic police camp at about 8:00 pm Thursday.
  • In Hledan, junta soldiers raided 50-Feet Street at 8:30 pm Thursday, beat the sellers and burned their goods on the street.
  • The junta army has been carrying out heartless activities on a daily basis. On Thursday night, they ill-treated the sellers at Hledan Market in Kamayut Township. Regarding it, youth expressed their disapproval.
  • In Shan South, Ywangan People's Defense Force –YPDF announced on Thursday that they had officially abolished their force.
  • To raise funds for the revolution, anti-junta DRPA has been developing a liberation woods and the public can buy plants from them.
  • In Kyankhine Township of Ayeyarwaddy Region, there was a fighting between the junta army and local PDF somewhere at the bottom of Rakhine Mountain Range, starting from 9:00 am Friday.
  • According to family members of political prisoners, there have been limitations related to sending things into prison after the transfer of prison authority in Pathein.
  • In Myeik of Taninthayi Region, fighter jets practiced flying in groups on Friday morning. 

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • Spokesperson of Peace Process Steering Team (PPST said that they would call on ASEAN Special Envoy to Myanmar to meet with the leaders whom he should meet.
  • In Karenni State, a junta ration truck was attacked by KNDF Brigade (10) on patrol on Loikaw-Lawpita Road at about 8:45 am Thursday. Reportedly, 4 members of the junta armed forces, including police officer Win Zaw Thein, died.
  • In Laykaykaw Area under Karen National Union-KNU Brigade (6), there was a fighting between Cobra Troop and the junta army invading a local hill on Wednesday evening. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers died and 7 others were injured. As for the revolution force, one of their members lost their life due to the mortars shot by the junta army.
  • In Chin State, the junta armed forces set fire to the town of Thantlang again. According to Thantlang Placement Affairs Committee -IDPs help (TPAC), 117 buildings and houses were burnt to ashes.

The Military Council

  • The junta Foreign Minister told ASEAN Special Envoy to Myanmar that it was necessary for ASEAN members to follow the ASEAN Charter and Principles as well as to have mutual respect for each other.
  • According to a responsible person from the Ministry of Electricity, they have been making arrangements for reading power units and bill payment via mobile phones.
  • The junta propaganda leader Zaw Min Tun said that it was just sincere of the junta leader to have gone to Nyaungnabin where the 2008 Constitution had been drawn up.
  • The junta propaganda leader said that KNU/KNDO and PDFs still could not take control of the junta Okkayitta Camp near Wawlay Area in the south of Myawaddy Township of Kayin State.
  • The junta propaganda leader said that it was necessary to figure out debt resistance as local and international debts were on the rise year after year.
  • In Taunggyi Township of Shan South, students are not to bring mobile phones to the junta schools starting from Friday.
  • According to local people, military ships passed the towns of Pyi and Thayet along Ayeyarwaddy River.

Summary on 1 July

  • In a press conference, the military junta falsely claimed that they had not lost control of Okkayitta Camp yet and none of their soldiers lost their lives in the battle. Even at the time of easy access to the internet, they are bare-faced to tell such lies.
  • As for KNDO, they published the photos of dead soldiers from the junta army and videos in which their things were confiscated. Attacking the troops, they even managed to surround Okkayitta Camp.
  • In Kayin State, there were battles. The same was true for Karenni and Sagaing with ambushes in local area and attacks at police stations. Reportedly, the junta armed forces had a great loss there.
