The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • On Monday, the National League for Democracy (NLD) announced that without a meeting with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, there would be no way to resolve the political crisis of Myanmar.
  • On the birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi; the State Counsellor and Chair of the NLD, the NUG wished their best along with the people.
  • In the Southern Military Headquarters under the Ministry of Defence- NUG, the 78th birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was celebrated on Monday.
  • In a liberated area, the Deputy Minister of Health- NUG, the Second Secretary of the Ministry of Defence- NUG, CDM soldiers and police celebrated the birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
  • On 16 June, there was a meeting between the Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the Ministry of Education- NUG. Reportedly, they discussed continuous learning for CDM students and revolutionaries.
  • At 10:00 am on Sunday, there was a meeting between the Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration-NUG and Township People’s Administration from Taninthayi Region, Ayeyarwady Region and Bago Region.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In birthday wishes for his mother on Monday, Ko Htein Linn (alias) Kim Aris, the younger son of State Counsellor Daw Aung San Su Kyi, stated that it was disheartening to see some powerful democratic nations like Japan and India turning a blind eye to the action of the military junta and their continuous support for such military government for various excuses.
  • The French Ambassador to Myanmar called for the release of all political prisoners including State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi without any exceptions.
  • The Foreign Minister of Indonesia responded that Indonesia, the Chair of the ASEAN, had been making an effort to resolve Myanmar’s crisis and they would not be able to attend the meeting organized by the interim government of Thailand.
  • The Malaysian Foreign Ministry officially announced that they would not join the meeting organized by the Thai Interim Government. They added that it was important to proceed in accordance with the action of the ASEAN’s Chair and the decisions of the ASEAN Summit.
  • According to Reuters, no other ASEAN members except for Cambodia attended the meeting organized by the Thai Interim Government in the face of harsh criticism from the local and international communities.
  • In Kalay of Sagaing Region, the junta army arrested about 20 local women wearing flowers on Monday morning.
  • On the birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, a combined rally of Salingyi and Yinmabin conducted a flower strike and an anti-junta march.
  • In Kathar Township, the students shaped the word ‘Mother Su’ in commemoration of the birthday of public’s leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
  • In Shwebo Township, a rally of local villagers carried out a flower strike on the 78th birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
  • In Khin-U Township, students and children marched on the birthday of the national leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
  • In honor of the birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, Shwebo District PDF Regiment (21) and local people marched for the end of the military dictatorship.
  • In Dibeyin Township, the S&C fed the students with vermicelli soup in commemoration of the birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. They then conducted a flower strike.
  • With 900 roses, Ziyoe Guerrillas celebrated the birthday of State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
  • On Monywa-Mandalay Highway, local people marched against the military dictatorship on the birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
  • According to Federal Wings on Monday, their drone attacks got started in Sagaing Region.
  • In Hlaingthaya Township of Yangon Region, the junta soldiers and police confiscated flowers from the florists and local residents on Monday morning.
  • On Sunday night, there were bomb explosions in some townships such as Hlaing thaya, Mayangone, North Okkala, Hlaing, Insein, and South Dagon.
  • In Yangon Region, a combined force of urban guerrillas conducted attacks with 9 bombs on the junta army, court and police station on Sunday night.
  • In Dawbone Township, two unexploded bombs were found in the compounds of legal offices for Bodataung District and Thingangyun District at about 8:00 am Monday.
  • In Thaketa Township, there was a banner of strong determination on the 78th birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
  • On Monday morning, on Maha Bandula Bridge was the banner- ‘The people do remember the birthday lady’.
  • In Mandalay Region, Thabaitgyin Township PDF conducted a flower strike on Monday, in honor of all the political prisoners including State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
  • In Myingyan Township, Naungyoe Special Guerrilla Force carried out a flower strike in commemoration of the birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
  • Pakkoku District PDF Regiment (14) celebrated the birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
  • In Pakkoku Township, people’s administration and security forces conducted a flower strike on the 78th birthday of public’s leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
  • In Magwe Region, a combined force of Chauk-based PDFs made a flower strike on the 78th birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
  • In Salin Township, there was a flower strike in honor of the 78th birthday of State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
  • In Magwe, an alliance of Golden Eagle Myaylatt hung an anti-junta banner at Kantha Lake on Monday morning.
  • In Myaing Township, a local rally marched against the military dictatorship on Monday , along with a flower strike, on the birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
  • In Myaing Township, there was an attack with the Shar Too Waw Drone System on the junta police station at about 1:00 pm Sunday.
  • In Taninthayi Region, Longlone Township PDF celebrated the 78th birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
  • In a village of Taninthayi Region, there was a flower strike in commemoration of the birthday of State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
  • On behalf of the Japan-Myanmar Friendship Association, the focal person of the Rural Land donated rice, oil and tarpaulins to IDPs on Monday.
  • In Kepong of Malaysia, there was a birthday celebration for Daw Aung San Suu Kyi at the office of the NLD OC on Monday.
  • In New Delhi of India, there was a prayer event on the birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
  • In Utrecht of the Netherlands, the NLD Organizing Committee celebrated the birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
  • In California of the US, there was a birthday celebration for Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, along with the fund-raising sale for the revolution.
  • In New York of the US, there was a birthday celebration for public’s leader and state counselor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
  • On the birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, Myanmar people in Korea released a statement on liberation and peace claiming that they would stand with all the ethnic people for real peace and federal democracy.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • In Phapun District under Karen National Union, there were 71 battles in June. According to the KNLA, 45 junta soldiers died and 13 others got injured.
  • The Southern KNLA Unit (201) conducted a flower strike on the birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
  • On Mawlamyein-Yay Road in Mon State, a combined force of the KNLA and the PDF took security measures and made inspections starting from Sunday morning.
  • CDF Mindat called on Chin youth not to leave the area and defend the country by fighting the junta army.

The Military Council

  • According to the junta Rural Development Department, the Emerald Green Project will be implemented in over 200 villages with a national budget worth 6.6 billion MMK in the 2023-24 fiscal year.
  • The junta Central Bank announced that the CIASC had been set up to identify, monitor and inspect the risks of money laundering.
  • To implement 3 wind-power projects, the junta Ministry of Electricity signed the MOU with Nova Wind JSC Company from Russia.
  • At Sky Star Hotel on Monday, there was an event in honor of those who had raised funds for the victims of Cyclone Mocha. Reportedly, present on the occasion was the junta Minister of Communication.
  • According to the junta Myanmar Rice Federation, they will form a working committee for reasonable prices for consumers.
  • In Mingaladone Township of Yangon Region, the junta army raided the house spreading flowers in Shwe Nanttha Ward on Monday morning. Reportedly, two hand-made bombs were found there.
