The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • To equip Naypyi Taw PDF with heavy artillery, Dancing with Ladies conducted a fundrising campaign for 10,000 lakh MMK.
  • The Acting President of the NUG claimed that they would proceed with the journey of the revolution until the end of the military dictatorship so that the sacrifices of the martyrs including U Jimmy, Ko Phyo Zay Yar Thaw, Ko Aung Thura Zaw and Ko Hla Myo Aung would not end up in vain.
  • On the inauguration day of the Spring Bank permitted by the NUG Interim Central Bank, more than 1,000 people opened their accounts.
  • On Sunday, U Min Ko Naing called on the public to take part in the financial battle against the military junta by opening accounts individually at Spring Development Bank.
  • In Hpakant Township in Kachin State, there was an attack on the junta army at Pantin Bridge. According to the Ministry of Defence- NUG, 5 junta soldiers died and weapons were confiscated.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In Dawei District of Taninthayi Region, there was a mine attack on a junta convoy of three cars on the Yebyu-Kalaiaung Road Section. In response, the junta soldiers opened fire, injuring a farm worker.
  • In Longlone Township, U Thein Oo, a second supervisor of the junta Agricultural Department under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, was shot dead.
  • In Longlone Township, local PDFs attacked Pyusawti members demanding money in Kyauknimaw Village. Reportedly, 5 junta members died.
  • In Shwebo Township, local PDFs raided the camp of the Pyusawti in Nyaungbinhla Village at about 3:00 am Sunday. Reportedly, 9 junta members died and 3 guns were confiscated along with some ammunition.
  • In Yesagyo Township of Magwe Region, the displaced people in Yelegyun Area have been in need of bamboo and tarpaulin.
  • In Kani, local PDFs attacked the junta army taking security measures at the Myanma Economics Bank at about 12:00 am on 19 July.
  • In Tamu Township, PDFs attacked the junta police station and the junta army unit in Kanpet. In response, the junta army fired mortars into a ward, killing a civilian.
  • In Katha Township, there was a local battle between the junta army and a local PDF. Reportedly, the junta soldiers set fire to 24 houses in Indayet Village.
  • In Khin-U Township, there was an attack via sniper on the junta army in the General Hospital. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers got injured.
  • In Yinmabin Township, a rally of Shwe Ye Kyi marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Yinmabin Township, a rally of Shwe Nwe Thwe marched for the end of the military dictatorship.
  • In Salingyi Township, Anyar Pyit Tie Taung Lay Myar provided food to the displaced people on Saturday.
  • In Monywa, a combined force of PDFs attacked the junta inspection gate at Swam Yi Htet on Saturday afternoon. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers died.
  • Three junta vessels traveling on the Chindwin River have been opening fire on local villages on the river banks in Salingyi Township. Consequently, local residents have had to run away.
  • July 23 marked the one-year anniversary of the loss of the leaders of the revolution and democratic movements: Ko Jimmy, Ko Phyo Zay Yar Thaw, Ko Aung Thura Zaw and Ko Hla Myo Aung.
  • In Kyaukdagar Township of Bago Region, the junta army set fire to Nanza Village again at 6:30 pm Saturday.
  • In Nyaunglebin Township, there was a mine attack on the junta army between two local villages. Reportedly, there was a clash between the junta army and local PDF.
  • In South Korea, there was a football match to raise fund for the revolution of Myanmar.
  • In Paung Township of Mon State, a junta policeman and a civilian were shot dead at a restaurant in Oattadar Village on Yangon-Mawlamyein Road.

Ethnic Armed Organisations (EAOs)

  • In Kanpetlet Township of Chin State, there was a battle between the junta army and local CDFs. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers died and another one was seriously injured.
  • In Thandaunggyi Township of Kayin State, there has been heavy fighting between the junta armed forces and a combination of Karenni Forces in Yardo Village from 11 July to 23 July.
  • In Thatone Township of Mon State, the junta army fired mortars into Kazai Village and nearby ones. According to Karen National Union (Central), a civilian got injured and nearly 3000 locals had to run away.

The Military Council

  • In Shweku Township of Kachin State, the junta army based in the town wildly fired shells at local villages on the other side of Ayeyarwaddy River.
  • According to the junta Central Bank, bank notes worth 20,000 MMK will be issued starting on 31 July.
  • Under the instruction of the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing, there was a birthday party for the one-year old so-called white elephant in Naypyi Taw. Reportedly, the staff from various ministries had to join in.
  • On Sunday, the military junta provided privileged titles to 26 monks and 204 people.
  • According to the junta Passport Office, those who have lost their passports must have their personal information published in gazette newspapers and they will be able to apply for a new one only after months.
  • The junta Ministry of Education stated that they had been upgrading the security level of certificates of those who pass the matriculation exam under the new system.
  • On 1 August, there will be a religious ceremony for Marya Wizaya Buddha Image in Naypyi Taw and the public will be able to go to that pagoda free of charge until 16 August.

  • The military junta officially announced that there would be 20,000 MMK bank notes issued. Afterwards, the value of Myanmar currency decreased again. Due to the junta printing money at the time of no product, it will worsen the high inflation rate.
  • There has been more revolutionary activity in Bago Region, resulting in frequent battles. In other words, the military junta has fewer areas under its influence.
