The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • In the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, Myanmar Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun called on international community to build relationships and cooperate with the NUG and CRPH to help resolve Myanmar’s crisis.
  • Soon after the launch of digital money with the use of Blockchain technology for the first time in Myanmar, there was a faked Facebook page named NUG Pay. By 8:30 pm Wednesday, the page had over 1700 likes.
  • According to the NUG, it has sold 80% of the shares, worth 8 million USD, for the property on Inlya Road in Yangon confiscated by the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In memory of the student leader Salai Tin Maung Oo who was hanged on 26 June 1976 during the tenure of U Nay Win government, Yangon youths marched against the military dictatorship on Thursday morning, raising a banner- that said: ‘We’ll never kneel down before the army boots’.
  • In Hlaingthaya Township in Yangon Region, two PDF members, who had allegedly assassinated a junta informer, were knocked down by a motorbike near Arman bus stop and arrested at about 2:30 pm on Wednesday.
  • In Kalay Township in Sagaing Region, no less than 10 junta soldiers died in an ambush. According to CDF KKG on Wednesday, a PDF member lost their life and four others were injured.
  • In Shwebo Township, a rally of villagers marched for the NUG and against the military dictatorship on Thursday.
  • In Kawlin, Sergeant Tun Lin, who had been on leave from the junta army, threw a grenade at local PDF members who had come to his house to arrest him on Wednesday. Consequently, he got shot five times and died on arrival at the hospital.
  • On Thursday morning, a local PDF shot 120mm mortars at Salingyi Township Police Station. Reportedly, no less than five members of the junta armed forces died.
  • In Tamu Township, there was fighting for nearly four hours between the junta army and Pyu Saw Htee militia against a local PDF on Wednesday. Reportedly, eight members of the junta armed forces died and no less than 15 others got injured.
  • In Katha Township, an alliance of the ABSDF and local PDFs conducted attacks on the junta armed forces from 11 to 21 June. Reportedly, no less than 145 junta soldiers died.
  • On the 469 th day of protest, a combined rally from Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Thursday.
  • In Dibeyin Township, a combined rally marched against the military dictatorship on Thursday, chanting ‘Who dares to live on the opposite side of the public?’
  • On Wednesday, a combined force of six local PDFs announced that there had been swindling in the transfer of over 500,000 Bahts for weapon procurement for PDFs in Dawei District of Tanintharyi Region.
  • In Mon State, U Kyaw Myo Min, the Beelin Township NLD Chair and Mon State MP, and three of his friends were arrested by the junta armed forces on Wednesday while they were riding motorbikes in the area.
  • According to Wundwin Township Revolution Force (WTRF), an officer from the environmental conservation department of Ywangan Township in Shan south was shot dead on Wednesday. Reportedly, the junta army was attacked with mines on their way to pick up the dead body of the officer and six junta soldiers died.
  • In Hpakant Township in Kachin State, local people marched for the KIA, PDF and NUG on Thursday, chanting anti-junta slogans.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • In Rakhine State, the Arakan Army (AA) arrested two police officers from Kyauknimaw police station in Yanbye Township and three members of the junta security office in Mrauk-U on Wednesday and Thursday.
  • In Beelin Township under the Karen National Union (KNU) Brigade (1), a combined force of the KNDO and KNLA attacked the junta Laykay camp at about 11:00 am on Wednesday. Reportedly, two junta soldiers were injured.

The Military Council

  • The junta propaganda leader Zaw Min Tun said that State Counsellor Daw Aung San Su Kyi had been sent to Nay Pyi Taw Prison and is now being kept in solitary confinement.
  • In a trial on Wednesday, Dr. Myo Aung, the Chair of the Naypyitaw Council, was sentenced to 15 years in prison on five charges under the anti-corruption law. As for U Ye Min Oo who had already been sentenced to 15 years in prison for corruption charges, he received an additional three-year sentence.
  • According to the military junta, they mainly discussed challenges in the region at the 16 th meeting of ASEAN Defence Ministers in Cambodia on Wednesday.
  • At the 16 th meeting of ASEAN Defence Ministers in Cambodia on Wednesday, the Japanese Foreign Minister Nobuo Kishi warned the military junta to immediately stop violence against the public.
  • The military junta announced that the drugs worth of 642.608 million USD would be destroyed nationally on the 35 th International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on 26 June.
  • According to the junta Ministry of Health, they have been calling for applications for diplomas, masters and Ph. D programs at medical and related universities for the 2023 academic year.
  • According to the junta Ministry of Hotel and Tourism, there were over 600 visitors coming to the country on Tourist Visas from May to 19 June 2022.

  • According to the military junta, the State Counsellor Daw Aung San Su Kyi has been transferred to Naypyitaw Prison and kept in isolation. The junta intends to keep her in prison for a long time and end her political career. As for the public, they will never forget the days of her leadership.
  • At the 16 th Meeting of the ASEAN Defence Ministers in Cambodia on Wednesday, the military junta had a discussion, mainly about challenges in the region. However, the Japanese Foreign Minister gave a strong warning to the junta representative that the junta army must stop violence against the public at once. Moreover, the Malaysian Defence Minister stated that allowing the military junta to join the meeting was not recognizing them as a legitimate government. In other words, the military junta might got the chance to attend the meeting so that they could hear the calls for respect and implementation of the ASEAN Consensus.
