Summary on 25 May

  • The military junta falsely claimed again that PDFs set fire to houses in Tantalan in Chin State.
  • It was similar to their accusation against the Rohingya people. It is such nonsense that anyone in Myanmar would burn down their own home during such a time of hardship when it is so difficult to build a house.
  • In Sagaing Region, the junta armed forces have been extremely oppressive towards people as they cannot defeat the local PDFs. With the internet blackout, they have been doing what they want.
  • At a time of fewer battles in other areas due to the rainy season, the military junta has been making an effort to fight upcountry where there is less rain. Therefore, it is necessary to support war refugees and local PDFs from upcountry area as much as possible.
