The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • In New York of the United States, the Southern District Court reached a verdict that Phyo Hein, a former volunteer of office security, had been partially involved in the attempt to injure or threaten the life of Myanmar’s Permanent Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun.
  • The Acting President of the NUG stated that it was necessary to establish a financial system not based on the Myanmar Kyat so that people could receive a proper reward for their labour.
  • At 10:00 am on Monday, there was a meeting between the Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration - NUG and Township People’s Administration from Bago Region, Ayeyarwady Region, Yangon Region and Taninthayi Region.
  • Spring Bank called on the public to be patient with the time of increasing the number of failed attempts to open accounts. They added that the responsible personnel are committed to ensuring the stable operation of the banking system.
  • In Bago, there was an attack via launchers on the junta District Government Office and General Administration Department at about 9:00 pm Monday.

Revolutionary Activities

  • After the military junta announced that they would issue 20000-MMK money notes, service providers suspended their activities in real estate, gold and automobile markets in Yangon.
  • In Tamu Township of Sagaing Region, there has been heavy fighting in the town of Karmpart. Reportedly, 13 more junta soldiers died.
  • In Monywa Township, there was a mine attack on two junta ships in Chindwin River. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers died.
  • In Myeik Township of Taninthayi Region, PDFs warned 5 social groups about their association with the military junta.
  • In Madayar Township of Mandalay Region, the junta army shot dead a local fisherman from Nyaungoat Village and arrested more than 20 people.
  • In Myaing Township of Magwe Region, there was a bomb attack via drone on a junta troop near Hnawbin Village.
  • In Longlone Township of Taninthayi Region, local PDFs arrested 3 armed drug users.
  • In Thayetchaung Township, 4 displaced farmers from Yange Village were arrested and ill-treated by the junta army. Reportedly, one of them was seriously injured and he has been in a critical condition.

Ethnic Armed Organisations (EAOs)

  • In Myawaddy Township of Kayin State, there was a battle between the revolutionary forces and the junta army invading Mount Latkhat at about 7:00 am Tuesday.
  • In Kanpetlet Township of Chin State, there were attacks on the junta army sending rations to their forces in Kyindway. Reportedly, 11 junta soldiers died within 4 days.
  • On the border of Shan State and Karenni State, there has been heavy fighting between local defence forces and the junta army invading Pekone-Mobye-Loikaw Road for 5 consecutive days.
  • In Winyay Township under Karen National Union Brigade (6), there were local battles for two consecutive days. Reportedly, 11 junta soldiers died.
  • In Thanphyu Zayat Township of Mon State, there were two battles. Reportedly, 5 junta soldiers died and two members of the Karen National Liberation Army lost their lives.

The Military Council

  • The junta Transportation and Communication Department announced that the military junta would collect tax on online games.
  • According to the junta embassies on Monday, Myanmar people with lost or damaged passports in foreign countries will have to pay more fines when they apply for new ones again.
  • On Monday, Myanmar Investment Commission conducted a meeting in Naypyi Taw. Reportedly, they approved 10 investments including electricity projects.
  • According to the junta propaganda leader Zaw Min Tun, the new 20,000 MMK banknotes would not be released in bulk as they were printed just for commemoration.
