The National Unity Government (NUG) 

  • In a meeting on Tuesday, the Union Prime Minister claimed that they would try their best with local and international laws to bring justice for every person who had lost their lives unjustly in the revolution. 
  • According to the End of Dictatorship under the NUG Ministry of Planning, Finance and Investment, all the pieces of land in Bahan Township (40x60 and 60x80) were sold out for  the Spring Yangon Investment Phase II. 
  • On Tuesday, the NUG Ministry of Defence sent a congratulatory statement to the 62nd anniversary of Kachin Independence Organization (KIO). They also expressed their sorrow for those who had lost lives in the air strike of A Nang Pa. 
  • Ministry of Human Rights- NUG announced that photos and videos could be sent to them regarding the junta’s air strike at A Nang Pa under KIO Brigade (9) causing a large number of casualties. 
  • At 3:00 pm on Tuesday, the junta army conducted an attack on the offices of the Pale Township Public Administration and a local PDF using five helicopters. However, everyone managed to escape to a safe place. 

Revolutionary Activities 

  • In North Okkalapa Township in Yangon Region, Soe Soe, the junta hundred-household leader of Ta Ward, was shot dead on his way to the administration office at 9:00 am on Wednesday. 
  • In Insein Prison, more than 50 inmates have been sentenced to death, according to prison sources. The current situation is very concerning for them. 
  • In Sagaing Region, a combined rally of villagers from Salingyi and Yinmabin marched against the military dictatorship on Wednesday, holding signs proteting against the A Nang Pa massacre carried out by the junta in Hpakant Township. 
  • In Kani Township, local people hung an anti-junta banner on the entrance to town on Wednesday morning. 
  • In memory of those who had lost lives in A Nang Pa due to the junta’s air strike, Kalay people and students conducted anti-junta talks on Wednesday. 
  • On the Monywa-Ayadaw Road Section, a junta army officer’s car was attacked with mines on Tuesday morning. Reportedly, three junta soldiers, including the officer, died. 
  • On Tuesday morning, a military truck was hit with mines on the Monywa-Ayadaw Road. According to the God Of Monywa People Defense Force (GPDF), about 10 junta soldiers died. 
  • In Monywa Township, alleged Pyu Saw Htee members were attacked with mines on Monday afternoon. Reportedly, two of them died and three others were injured. 
  • In Monywa Township, the junta army raided Aungtha Village on Sunday morning and set fire to houses. They also arrested 18 local people for no apparent reason. 
  • Somewhere in Sagaing Region, there was a mine accident on Monday morning. According to Black Wolf Army Pdf, two of their members lost their lives in the incident. 
  • To increase the armed revolution against the junta army, Yinmabin Township PDF Battalion (27) conducted a fund-raising campaign. 
  • In Butalin Township, the junta army fired mortars into Magyioat Village at 5:00 am on Tuesday. Reportedly, two people including a woman lost their lives and three others were injured. 
  • In Kawkareik, the junta army Ka-La-Ya (97) fired mortars at about 3:00 pm on Tuesday. Reportedly, a mortar fell and exploded at Shwegyetmin Monastery in Kyauksayit Village. Consequently, two local people were injured and sent to hospital for medical treatment. 
  • In Loikaw Township in Karenni State, the junta army stationing in Warikawku Village fired mortars on Wednesday morning. Reportedly, three local people were injured and one of them was seriously hurt. 
  • On Wednesday, Mandalay Monks’ Union led an anti-junta movement. 
  • In Myingyan Township in Mandalay Region, local PDFs blew up the gas pipeline under Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise on 22 and 23 October. 
  • In Patheingyi Township, there was a bomb attack at the staff housing in Kankaut East Village at about 7:40 pm on Monday. Reportedly, five members of the junta army were injured. 
  • In Mandalay, the junta army shot dead a driver at Junction 35 on the night of 22 October. Reportedly, jade worth billions of MMK was missing from the car. 
  • In Taunggyi in Shan South, a group of young people shared anti-junta brochures near to hostels on Sunday. 
  • On Wednesday, Mobye PDF announced that they were carrying out intense training due to military tensions in the area. 
  • In Mon State, the leader of Ye Township PDF stated that the public was to avoid travelling and fun activities as much as possible as it was time to raise the level of the armed revolution during the open season. 
  • In Thatone Township, a junta police sergeant was shot dead in Zaymathwe Village on Tuesday night while he was drinking beer. 
  • On the Myawaddy-Kawkarait Asia Road, a truck carrying imported products was set on fire near Mainggone Village on Tuesday afternoon. 
  • In Mainggyayan in Kachin State, artists and youths conducted a prayer event for those who had lost their lives at a music concert in A Nang Pa in Hpakant Township. 
  • In Rikhawdar in Chin State on the border of India and Myanmar, the junta army was attacked with mines on Wednesday morning. Reportedly, five junta soldiers might have died. 
  • On Tuesday, the General Strike Coordination Body called on people to use their sorrow for the deaths of over 50 civilians in A Nang Pa to power the revolution. 
  • Dr. Noeleen Heyzer, the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General, strongly condemned the violent activities of the junta army including the airstrike in Kachin State that had caused a large number of civilian casualties.

Ethnic Armed Organizations 

  • On Tuesday, the Chief Military Officer of the Arakan Army (AA) tweeted that the massacre by the junta army in Hpakant was a call to war for the Myanmar people to fight against the fascist Myanmar Army. 
  • In Muse Township in Shan North, there was heavy fighting between the junta army and KIA on Tuesday. A mortar round fell and exploded in Monekaw Village injuring three villagers. 
  • In Moemauk Township under KIA Brigade (3), the junta army has been carrying out both land and air attacks since 22 October. 
  • The strategic officer of the Lion Battalion Special Force claimed that they were determined to end the military dictatorship within a year. 
  • In Kawthoolei Area of Mone Township under the Karen National Union, the junta army shot dead a local woman on the morning of 22 October. They also set fire to sugarcane plantations and huts. 
  • In KyarIn Seikgyi Township under KNU Brigade (6), a combined force of the KNLA attacked a junta army camp on the river bank at Haungthayaw on Tuesday night and took control of it. On Wednesday morning junta fighter jets fired on nearby villages. 

The Military Council 

  • On Tuesday, the second junta leader Soe Win said that the fund for disabled people, worth 3 billion MMK, must not be wasted. 
  • The junta agriculture department announced that companies and organizations interested in farming in partnership with them were to contact them as soon as possible. 
  • In the junta 2022 Mid-Year Gems Emporium held in Naypyidaw over a week, 2,253 sets of pearl, jade and gems were sold. 
  • According to the military junta, it managed to rescue 26 people including children, women and government staff, on Tuesday in its hunt for the wife of an army officer arrested by PDFs. 
  • On Tuesday, the junta Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the statements of the US and some western countries as well as the spokesperson of the UN Secretary-General. 

Summary on 27 October 

  • As the military junta cannot control powerful revolutionary forces, they have been conducting air strikes all over the country. They have been frightening the public saying that they would kill those who were against the junta army. 
  • Due to violent activities of the junta armed forces, the revolution might intensify with heavy battles throughout the country.
