The National Unity Government (NUG)

· In Luanda, Angola, Dr. Win Myat Aye, the leader of Myanmar’s delegation, delivered a speech in General Debate of the 147th International Parliamentary Conference hosted by Angola National Parliament.

· At 1:00 pm Wednesday, there was a meeting (37/2023) between the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration and Township People’s Administration from Mandalay Region and Magwe Region.

· In Sydney, Australia, Prof. Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, the Union Minister of Health and Education-NUG, and Dr. Tun Aung Shwe, the NUG’s Representative to Australia, met with members of the Myanmar diaspora and gave a presention about the Spring Revolution in Myanmar.

· Duwa Lashi La, Acting President of the NUG, stated that it was necessary to promote political and military cooperation between the NUG and ethnic alliances.

· In Paungty Township of Bago Region, Pyi District PDF conducted a guerrilla attack on the junta army invading Bago Mountain Range from Thitpoat Tower Camp.

Revolution Activities

· In Shwebo Township of Sagaing Region, Black Wolf Army carried out three bomb attacks via drone on the junta army.

· In Salingyi Township, 6 junta soldiers from Nyaungbingyi Police Station faced an attack on their way to Chindwin River Bank on Thursday morning. Reportedly, 4 of them died and a gun was confiscated together with some bullets.

· In Taze, the junta army set fire to 5 places in Myitta Myaing Ward. Afterwards, they arrested over 10 people near-by.

· According to Assistance Association for Political Prisoners on Wednesday, 293 women have lost their lives and more than 500 others have been arrested all over the country due to the junta army from January to 25 October 2023.

· No More Dictatorship PDF warned Mandalay residents not to indulge in the festive activities held by the military junta to show as if the country was peaceful.

· In Ngazun, the junta township transportation officer and FDA officer tried to drive away, refusing the inspection of PDFs. Reportedly, both of them died due to gunfire in the chase.

· In Mandalay Region, there was a bomb explosion at Kyaukdawgyi Pagoda Festival at the foot of Mandalay Hill at about 2:00 pm Wednesday. Reportedly, a seller was injured.

· According to those helping the political prisoners, the in-person meeting in prison, which had been banned for a long time, was allowed again. However, it is not for those with capital punishment, lifelong imprisonment and the prison sentence of 20 years and above.

· In Pauk of Magwe Region, there was an attack on the house of the local Pyusawti leader. Reportedly, some weapons were confiscated.

· Daung, an anti-junta artist, stated that they had earned over 350 lakh MMK from Emptiness Logo Auction and Helping Hand Program to the Comrades. He added that they managed to donate it directly to those on the ground.

· In Dawei Township of Tanintharyi Region, there was a raid on the junta’s Pakaryi Police Station.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

· In Mindat of Chin State, local CDF attacked the junta army stationed in town.

· In Kawkarait Township of Kayin State, a commander of a junta regiment died in a local battle.

· On Wednesday, the fighting continued between Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army and the junta army.

· In Hpakant Township of Kachin State, an alliance led by Kachin Independence Army (KIA) attacked a junta army camp. Reportedly, they cleared it out by burning.

The Military Council

· According to the junta Ministry of Economics and Commerce, Myanmar had the most trade with China, Thailand and Singapore in the half year of the current fiscal year.

· For a military exercise related to marine security, the junta newspapers issued navy and air warnings.

· In their meeting (10/2023), the junta Yangon Regional Investment Committee approved of 2 local investments in industry sector and 6 100% foreign investments.

· The junta Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry announced that they had discussed with Russian garment factories to invest in Myanmar.

· The coordination meeting is being held for teaching basic and higher education curriculum and teaching matters for the 2024-2025 academic year.

· General Mya Tun Oo, the junta Deputy Prime Minister and Transportation Minister, encouraged blood donation of the staff from Myanmar Telecommunication and other well-wishers.

Summary on 27 October

· In recent days, the military junta has had to let go of one camp after another. They have also lost a large number of soldiers including commanders.

· Under the invitation of the military junta, Russian businesses have come to the country and they have had discussions. However, it will take time to wait and see if it works.
