In memory of the martyr Pho Chan, a combined rally of Yinmabin and Salingyi marched against the military dictatorship on Thursday.

The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • According to Ministry of Defence- NUG, they managed to take control of 44 junta army camps from 1 January to 26 April 2023 and they also conducted attacks on air forces, weapon factories and military headquarters.
  • On 25 April, the Union Minister of Foreign Affairs- NUG delivered a speech at a public meeting on the Independence Day of Italy. Reportedly, she called for a cutting of the income sources of the military junta.
  • At 1:30 pm Tuesday, there was an online meeting among the Public’s Affairs Committee under the Committee Representing the Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), CDM Success Committee, the CDMers from Kayin State and CDM activists. Reportedly, they discussed more networking on the ground in their respective regions.
  • At 1:00 pm on Thursday, there was a meeting between the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration and the Township People’s Administration from Mandalay Region and Magwe Region.
  • In Yesagyo Township of Magwe Region, a Humanitarian Team under the Local People’s Administration of the NUG provided 308 displaced people with rice and other food items.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In Pale Township in Sagaing Region, there was a bomb attack via drone on Inmati Village on Wednesday. Reportedly, there might have been casualties among junta soldiers and Pyusawti members, and about 30 others ran out of the village.
  • In memory of the martyr Pho Chan, a combined rally of Yinmabin and Salingyi marched against the military dictatorship on Thursday.
  • On Thursday, a rally of Yinmabin North marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship.
  • In Salingyi Township, the junta armed forces raided 7 local villages on Thursday. Consequently, over 2,000 villagers had to run away.
  • In downtown Monywa, the Youth Association conducted an anti-junta movement on Thursday morning, placing a banner against the military dictatorship at the traffic lights.
  • In Khin-U Township, the junta army set fire to Myothit Village starting from Wednesday evening.
  • In Khin-U Township, the junta army burnt 3 local villages. On Wednesday, a member of the PDF died while setting mines to hit junta troops.
  • In Yinmabin Township, local PDFs carried out a mine attack on the junta army near Bantbway North Village at about 1:00 pm Wednesday.
  • In the west of Shwebo Township, the junta armed forces invaded local villages on Wednesday midnight. Consequently, local people had to run away in the dark.
  • Local revolutionary forces warned the public not to use the Shwebo-Seikkun Road as the junta army has been invading along the way.
  • According to the focal person of MSPDF, they have practiced for battles to take control of the junta army camps.
  • In Shwebo Township, the S&C donated 20 spinning wheels to the fire victims from 5 local villages which had been burnt by the junta armed forces.
  • In Yangon Region, the military junta arrested some members of Khayan Township PDF. They were also after their associates among the public.
  • In Pakkoku Township of Magwe Region, there was an attack on the Pyusawti Militia in Tegone Village at 9:30 pm Tuesday. Reportedly, 13 junta members died and weapons were confiscated.
  • In Pauk Township, PDFs attacked the junta army near Ima Village and Falankaing Police Station at about 4:30 pm Tuesday.
  • In Mandalay Region, a sergeant from Natoegyi Police Station was shot dead at about 7:00 pm Wednesday.
  • In Ayeyarwaddy Region, Gyankhin Township General Strike protested against the military dictatorship on Thursday.
  • In Taninthayi Township of Taninthayi Region, an alliance of local PDFs conducted a mine attack on the junta army near Thephyu Village. Reportedly, 5 junta soldiers including officers died on Wednesday.
  • In Pulaw Township, the junta army dragged a father and his son out of a car on the way from Myeik to Pulaw on the night of 22 April. Reportedly, they shot them dead, but failed to give the bodies to their family.
  • In Moekaung of Kachin State, there was a bomb attack via drone on the junta army gate at 2:00 pm Tuesday. Reportedly, there were casualties among junta soldiers.
  • In Thandaung Township of Kayin State, the junta army camp near 7 Mile and secret patrol places at about 7:00 pm were shelled Tuesday. Reportedly, 3 junta soldiers including a captain died.
  • In Beelin Township of Mon State, there was a mine attack at the junta internal revenue office on Tuesday night. Reportedly, most of the building has collapsed and staff are afraid to go to work.
  • In Muse of Shan North, a focal person of Lonetan Militia was shot dead at about 7:00 am Thursday while he was drinking tea at the shop.
  • According to the focal person of the Crows, they have been conducting the RPG Campaign for the DRPA, a revolution force based in the upcountry area.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • According to the PDFs and EAOs, the military junta has been conducting airstrikes on the public and villages with the bombs they have bought from Thai Government and Army.
  • In Kyaikto Township of Mon State, there was a battle between a combined force of the KNLA and the junta army near Mount Peacock at about 6:00 am Wednesday. Reportedly, both sides lost members.
  • In Mobye on the border between Shan State and Karenni State, Karenni Combined Forces attacked the junta army starting from 6:00 am Wednesday. Reportedly, nearly 20 junta soldiers died and 2 others were caught alive.
  • In the statement on the two year anniversary of the founding of the CDF Mindat on 24 April, the Arakan Army claimed that they would stand for CDF Mindat in the best way together with mutual respect, understanding and assistance.
  • In Pin Laung Township of Shan South, the dead body of a man was found with his hands tied behind his back in Lechar Village.
  • The Karenni Generation Z released a video of the junta army arresting the residents of Taungmethin Village to use as human shields.
  • In Myawaddy Township of Kayin State, a combined force of Cobra Column and Black Leopard Column attacked and took control of a camp belonging to the junta Border Guard Force (BGF).
  • In Chin State, revolutionary forces gained control of the two camps of the junta army in Thimit Plain at about 4:00 pm Wednesday. Reportedly, there were a large number of casualties among junta soldiers.

The Military Council

  • On Wednesday morning, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing met with outstanding students of 2022-23 academic year at Myanmar International Convention Center (2) in Nay Pyi Taw and delivered them a speech.
  • On Wednesday, the patent registration of business people got started.
  • According to the military junta, they have been training over 1,300 young people for the air force and the navy in 30 camps throughout the country. Reportedly, they will also include basic military training (without arms or weapons).
  • The junta Union Election Commission approved of the founding of Union Development Party and Democratic Force Labor Party.
  • The junta Department of Meteorology and Hydrology stated that there would be untimely rain in some states and regions between 30 April and 3 May.
  • On Tuesday, the junta Minister of Foreign Affairs told the government employees who will serve outside of the country to be faithful for the defence of the nation.

  • The junta Ministry of Health announced on Thursday that they would call dental practitioners to serve at hospitals in states and regions.
