The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • At 10:00 am Saturday, there was an exclusive meeting between the Interim Judiciary Department under the Ministry of Judiciary Affairs- NUG and the judges from 28 courts on the ground.
  • At 10:00 am Saturday, there was a video conference meeting between the Education Committee under the Committee Representing the Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and members of the Township Education Board under the Karenni State Interim Public Administration. Reportedly, they discussed activities on the ground.
  • According to NUG Pay, it has been carrying out activities to prevent information leaks and swindles, which may harm the security of revolutionary forces in the revolution period.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In Yebyu Township of Taninthayi Region, the junta army arrested local people to use them as human shields.
  • The Chindwin Fighter Group attacked a convoy of junta vessels navigating up the Chindwin River whilst carrying weapons and rations.
  • In the southern part of Monywa, in Sagaing Region, the junta army stationed in the compound of Tin Win Tun shot mortars into Ma-U Village. Reportedly, a girl, Ma Htet Ei Ko, aged 15 lost her life on the spot and 3 women were injured.
  • In Monywa Township, a combined force of local PDFs conducted an attack using rockets on the compound of the junta Northwest Regional Military Headquarters.
  • In Salingyi Township, there was a guerrilla attack on a junta convoy of vessels carrying weapons and rations somewhere on the Chindwin River.
  • To fulfill the needs of displaced people and CDM students in Kantbalu Township, Vitamins has been arranging a fund-raising campaign.
  • In Myaung Township, local PDFs attacked the junta army staying in Kyaukdan Village. Reportedly, there might have been casualties amongst the junta soldiers.
  • In Yinmabin Township, a rally of Shwe Nwe Thwe marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Shwebo Township, there was a mine attack on a junta car on patrol. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers died.
  • In Ayadaw Township, the Local Students’ Union conducted a salute event in honor of the martyrs of the Spring Revolution including the three members of the Students’ Union who had lost their lives in Butalin Township.
  • In Usan and Incheon of South Korea, a combined rally of Korean and Myanmar people protested against Myanmar’s military dictatorship. They also organised a fund-raising football match for the revolution.
  • In Pekone Township of Southern Shan State, 13 junta soldiers including an officer died in local battles for 8 days near the Pagoda Hill of Phaung-I Village.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

  • Chin Defence Force (Mindat) attacked a junta army camp at 4-Mile Hill near junta army regiment (274).
  • In the eastern part of Moegok in Mandalay Region, Moemaik District KPDF attacked the junta army stationed in the power plant. Reportedly, 5 junta soldiers died.
  • In Kawkarait Township of Kayin State, 3 women were injured when they stepped on landmines set by the junta army.

The Military Council

  • According to military sources, the military junta arrested the second commander of Taninthayi Region, the Minister of Border Affairs and Security, and the Local Chief Military Officer.
  • In Pathein in Ayeyarwaddy Region, sellers have to sell their food packed in leaves and those selling food packed in plastic bags have been fined by the junta municipal staff.
  • The junta Yangon Regional Chief Minister claimed that it was necessary to produce high-quality soil fertilizer and sell it to the market in the right quantity.

Summary on 31 July

  • Whenever the junta armed forces cannot beat the revolutionary forces, they tend to do harm to the public. They have been doing the same in Taninthayi Region.
