The National Unity Government (NUG)

· In Luanda, Angola, a delegation led by Dr. Win Myat Aye attended the 147th International Parliamentary Conference for five days. Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) released information about what they had discussed there including the Myanmar crisis.

· At 10:00 am Sunday, there was a meeting (34/2023) between the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration and Township People’s Administration Teams from Tanintharyi Region, Ayeyarwady Region and Bago Region.

· In Yangon Region, District PDFs attacked 7 junta targets from 26 to 29 October.

· According to Special Operation Force under Ministry of Defence-NUG, there were clashes between a combined force of Karen National Union Brigade (6) and the junta army in Kyaikdone Area near the border for two days.

Revolution Activities

· In Myaing Township of Magwe Region, the junta army fired mortars into King Village and Kangyiyat Village. Consequently, 5 people lost their lives including a child aged 6 and two teenaged novices.

· In the northwest of Yinmabin Township in Sagaing Region, a junta troop of about 200 soldiers has been invading the area. Reportedly, over 20,000 people have had to run away.

· In Dibeyin Township, a combined force of local PDFs attacked the junta army on arrival at Ohntin Village on the morning of 22 October.

· In Oatpho Township of Bago Region, Myint Kyaw, the junta administrator of Chaungkwa Village, was shot dead in an arrest by local PDF.

· On the full-moon night of Thadingyut on 29 October, there were the Eugenia Movements at Shwedagon Pagoda and Botataung Pagoda in Yangon for the victory of Operation 1027 and Kokang forces.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

· On the 4th day of Operation 1027, Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and revolution forces raided Naungcho in Shan State. Reportedly, they also took control of Goatdwin Bridge, a key landmark in the area.

· The government of China called on the two sides to stop local battles in Northern Shan State on China-Myanmar border. However, the three forces of the Northern Alliance stated that they would continue to fight their designated targets.

· According to PSLF/TNLA on Monday, they took control of Maili junta camp in Theinni of Northern Shan State.

· The three forces of Northern Alliance expressed thanks to the public in support of Operation 1027. They added that they would fight until the public’s aspirations could be met.

· In Mone Area in the eastern part of Bago Region, 2,400 local people have had to run away from battles within 9 days.

· In Dibeyin Township of Sagaing Region, a junta troop contingent, which had invaded the area for over 7 days, killed no less than 5 people.

The Military Council

· In Northern Shan State, there has been heavy fighting, causing fatalities among hundreds of soldiers. At such time, top army officers including the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing were present at Myanmar’s traditional arts competition in Naypyidaw.

· In Hakha and Mindat of Chin State, the junta’s departmental officials have moved to Governmental Residence and the junta army compounds.

· In Kayin State, there has been tight inspection on Asia Road connecting Myawaddy Township and Kawkarait Township and the road beyond Mount Dawna.

· The junta spokesperson General Zaw Min Tun said that to effectively combat Kyar Phyant or cyber fraud gangs, China and Myanmar must put pressure for the entry of the junta police, immigration and customs staff into Wa and Maila Areas.

· According to the junta propaganda media, the junta army managed to attack the CNF and CDF in Thantlang and they gained control of the town.

Summary on 31 October

· In cooperation with the military junta, Chinese gangs have been doing human trafficking and telling lies to the international community. Regarding it, the Northern Alliance announced that they had conducted attacks for such a reason. Afterwards, the military junta accused that the gangs had been cooperating with ethnic forces.

· In Northern Shan State, the junta army has had a great loss. No matter what, the military junta led by Min Aung Hlaing are still enjoying the funfairs in Naypyidaw.
