The National Unity Government (NUG)

· On Wednesday, the Ministry of Education- NUG recognized 375 schools on the ground as interim basic education public schools.

· At 1:00 pm Wednesday, there was a meeting between the Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration-NUG and Township People’s Administration Teams from Magwe Region and Mandalay Region.

· According to the Fire Department under Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration- NUG, 2,741 houses were damaged junta armed forces set fire to them throughout the country in July.

Revolutionary Activities

· Starting on 19 July, 15 female political prisoners in Thayarwaddy Prison in Bago Region, including a CDM headmistress Daw Yi Yi Swe, aged over 50, have been kept in solitary confinement until 3 August for more than two weeks.

· Regarding the military junta’s reduction in the sentence of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi- Myanmar’s democratic leader in detention, her son claimed on Tuesday that it was just a meaningless act.

· In Taninthayi Township of Taninthayi Region, the junta police arrested two men on 31 July, accusing them of supporting the PDFs financially.

· In Longlone Township of Taninthayi Region, there was an attack on the junta army stationed at Yatkhan Mountain Pagoda in Nakhantaw Village. Reportedly, over 10 junta soldiers died and 26 others including a captain were injured.

· In local battles for two days in Tunzan, a member of the Chinland Defence Force lost their life and so did a civilian.

· In Kalay of Sagaing Region, there was a mine attack on the junta army carrying out inspections in front of No. (2) Basic Education High School. Reportedly, a junta soldier died.

· In Shwebo Township, the S&C Educational and Social Group provided food to more than 3,000 displaced people.

· In Pakkoku Township of Magwe Region, the junta armed forces set fire to two local villages. Reportedly, over 70 houses were burnt to ashes.

· In Kachin State, a rally of Hpa Kant marched against the military dictatorship on Thursday.

· The US Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the rotating Chair of the United Nations Security Council, stated that she would go see the Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

· In Lasho Township and Muse Township of Shan State, there were battles between the junta armed forces and the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) on Wednesday.

· Despite the junta’s release of 16 TNLA members on the Day of the Dhamma Wheel, there has still been heavy fighting between the junta army and the TNLA.

The Military Council

· Since Wednesday, the military junta and Russia have conducted ADMM Plus Meeting of Defence Ministers from the ASEAN and partner countries in Naypyi Taw.

· On Thursday, the junta armed forces sealed off the house of Daw Mya Kwar Nyo Oo, an MP of Shwetaung Township Pyithu Hluttaw.

· In the western part of Bago Region, the owner of Ant Bone Thwin Telegram Channel was arrested. Reportedly, he shared the photos and social media pages of anti-junta protesters, supporters of the revolution and those taking part in the flower strike so that they got arrested by the military junta.

· One day after the religious ceremony for the Mara Vijaya Buddha Image built by the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing in Naypyi Taw, the junta Minister of Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko was on the removal list.

· After extending the emergency period, the military junta set up a new government and let go of some junta-appointed ministers.

· According to the junta Central Bank, business people will have their import/ export registrations revoked if they fail to do trade in accordance with the negotiated foreign currency exchange rate via the Online Trade of the Central Bank.

· According to the junta team, the public will be able to pay homage to the Mara Vijaya Buddha Image free of charge for a week starting on 8 August.
