The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration- NUG announced that the junta army had set fire to houses throughout the country 93 times in June, the most in a region was 79 times in Sagaing Region.
  • On Sunday, the Fire Department of the NUG stated that the junta armed forces had burnt down over 2,500 houses and killed 9 people by burning in Sagaing Region in June.
  • The Committee Representing the Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) welcomed the statement of the Karenni National People’s Liberation Front that they would join hands with all the revolutionary forces from the mainland and the mountains in the fight against the military dictatorship.
  • On Monday, Federal Wings Drone Force announced that they had conducted 280 operations in the first six months of the year, killing around 50 junta soldiers.
  • The Ministry of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Risks Management- NUG announced that the monsoon was still strong in the Bay of Bengal and thus, there might be heavy rainfalls in coastal areas and northern areas. They also warned the public of the risks of flooding.

Revolutionary Activities

  • On the birthday of the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing, a combined rally of Salingyi and Yinmabin conducted a swearing strike on the Pathein-Monywa Road on Monday.
  • In Salingyi Township, a rally of the Chindwin River Bank provided food to the displaced people from Nyaungbingyi Village Tract on Monday.
  • In Phaungbyin Township of Sagaing Region, there were 30 casualties among junta soldiers including an officer in fighting near Kawkan Village.
  • On Monday, a combined rally of local villages from Salingyi and Yinmabin protested against the military dictatorship.
  • In Minkin Township, the members of Pyusawti Militia set fire to the school in Kyarbin Village.
  • On Monday morning, a rally of Yinmabin North marched for the end of the military dictatorship.
  • In Myinmu, the CDSOM conducted bomb attacks via drone on the junta Myoma Police Station and the junta General Administration Department in town.
  • In Yesagyo Township of Magwe Region, local PDFs attacked a junta troop, on its way to support Hsin Phyu Shin Bridge, for 4 consecutive days.
  • In Yesagyo, the PDFs raided the junta Myoma Police Station in town.
  • Young Force (UG) conducted mine attacks on the junta armed forces on their way out of Pakkoku. Reportedly, there might have been casualties among junta soldiers.
  • In Pakkoku Township, Swe Lin, the secretary of the local Union Solidarity and Development Party and a candidate for the election, was shot dead.
  • On the birthday of Min Aung Hlaing, some young people went around Yangon with the photos of the junta leader placed under their footwear, swearing for his speedy death.
  • On the birthday of the junta leader on Monday, Yangon Revolution Force Youth conducted a flower strike against the military dictatorship.
  • On behalf of Yechancin (Singapore), the focal person of the Rural Land provided tarpaulins to the displaced people in Karenni State.
  • In Bandar Baru Bangi of Malaysia, the NLD-OC International Malaysia and Nway Oo FC organized a football match to help the IDPs in Myanmar and raise funds for the revolution.
  • In Kyaikto Township of Mon State, the junta army fired mortars on Saung Nainggyi Village, injuring a monk and damaging religious buildings.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • In Winemaw Township of Kachin State, there has been heavy fighting between the junta army and the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) near Namsanyan Village. Consequently, local people have had to take refuge in nearby villages.
  • In Kanpetlet Township of Chin State, a civilian got injured in gunfire from the junta army.
  • The Northern Alliance of the MNDAA, AA and TNLA announced that they would take action against those who disturb the projects of international investment.
  • In Kawkarait Township of Kayin State, there was an attack via drone on the junta army stationed at the school in Kawnwet Village. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers died.
  • According to Karen National Union (Central) on 1 July, a local resident lost life and two others were injured due to the mortars in Myawaddy Township and Kyar-In Seikgyi Township of Kayin State.

The Military Council

  • According to the Indian Ministry of Defence on Sunday, their Secretary met with the junta Minister of Defence in Myanmar. Reportedly, they discussed border affairs including illegal migration across the border, drug trafficking and smuggling.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing stated that the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) will be able to do trade only when they have products. He added that they need to produce as much as possible and sell their products for only a reasonable amount of profit.
  • According to the junta propaganda media, medicines and food items were provided to the victims of Cyclone Mocha in Myanaung Township in Rakhine State at the local administration department.

Summary on 4 July

  • In Magwe and Sagaing, there were attacks on the junta police offices, killing junta policemen and Pyusawti members.
  • In the southern part of Myanmar such as Mon State, Kayin State and Taninthayi Region, there have been frequent battles, which seem like defensive ones for the junta army.
