The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • U Kyaw Moe Tun, Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, called on the international community to attentively watch the efforts of the military junta to build small modular nuclear reactors.
  • At the UN, Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun called on the countries which have been selling weapons to Myanmar’s Army to immediately stop their sales.
  • At 12:30 pm on 3 April, there was a meeting between the Committee on People’s Affairs under the Committee Representing the Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the CDM Success Committee to discuss cooperation on the ground with the CDM staff and leaders from Ayeyarwady Region.
  • At 1:00 pm on Thursday, there was a meeting between the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration and Township People’s Administrative Teams from Mandalay Region and Magwe Region.

Revolutionary Activities

  • The UK Ambassador stated that Myanmar people are brave-hearted enough to withstand the inhumane activities of the military junta. He added that the UK stands with the public from Myanmar.
  • The Foreign Minister of Indonesia, the ASEAN Chair said that ASEAN must continue discussions with the main stakeholders to resolve the crisis in Myanmar.
  • In Longlone Township of Taninthayi Region, there was a protest against the military dictatorship in a local village on Thursday.
  • In Longlone Township, youths from three villages led anti-junta public talks on Thursday.
  • In Thayetchaung Township, there was a sniper attack sniper on the junta army near Theingone Village. Reportedly, a junta soldier died.
  • In Longlone Township, the PDFs attacked a Pyu Saw Htee camp in Kayingyi Village for two days and they managed to take control of it. Reportedly, 16 junta soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members died.
  • In Indaw in Sagaing Region, three women including a CDM teacher were sentenced to lifelong imprisonment under Sections 50 (j) and 52 (a) at the local martial court on 3 April.
  • On Wednesday, a combined rally from Salingyi and Yinmabin marched for sanctions on Myanmar’s Oil and Gas Enterprise (MOGE), the main income source for the military junta.
  • In Chaung-U Township, the Youth Strike Committee helped the injured and the family members of those who had been killed by random gunfire from junta forces.
  • In Shweku Township in Kachin State, the junta army carried out fighter jet and heavy artillery attacks on Sithar Village. Reportedly, more than 20 houses and buildings, including the local hospital and school, were damaged.
  • In Natoegyi Township in Mandalay Region, there was an attack on the junta soldiers and police stationed at the school in Min Village. Reportedly, five junta members died.
  • In Thabaitgyin Township, there was an attack on a military convoy near Aryone-U Village. Reportedly, there were a large number of casualties amongst junta soldiers.
  • In Yesagyo Township in Magwe Region, there was a graduation at a public school.
  • In Myaing Township, there was a mine attack on a junta army troop on its way back after the transfer of duty. Reportedly, two junta members died.
  • In Yangon Region, a combined force of the KMD 18 and the Mayangone Democratic Front conducted a sticker campaign for the public not to take part in the junta’s bloody Thingyan.
  • In Yetashay Township in Bago Region, there has been heavy fighting since 1 April. According to PDF sources, the junta armed forces have sufered great losses there.
  • In Gyobinkaut Township, the junta army arrested U Htay Min Thein, a local MP of the People’s Parliament, on Tuesday afternoon.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • On Wednesday night, the Dawna Demolition Force conducted the pre-show for Remembrance, a fund-raising movie.
  • The 1009 Infantry (IBDF) released a statement that the Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS) does not intend to get involved in the battles between the PDFs and the junta army in Shan South. Regarding it, the RCSS responded with a statement.
  • According to Chin National Defence Force (CNDF), there was fighting on the Falam-Hakha Road and nine junta soldiers were killed.
  • According to the Karen National Union (KNU), there have been 7,587 battles in the Kawthoolei Area in the last two years and no less than 365,187 local people have had to flee their homes.
  • According to a spokesperson of the KNU, there is nothing shocking regarding the junta’s change of regional military officers for Kayin State, Mon State and Taninthayi Region, where there are the areas under the control of the KNU.
  • In Mae Sot in Thailand, three PDF members were arrested and transferred to the military junta. Currently, they are under interrogation at Thingan Nyinaung Strategic Point.
  • In Myawaddy Township in Kayin State, two members of the Black Leopard were shot dead by the junta army on their way to send rice to the battlefield front in Mekane Village.

The Military Council

  • At 9:00 am Wednesday, the EV charging stations were opened for electric vehicles at (115) Terminal on the Yangon-Mandalay Highway.
  • According to the CNG Department, the CNG shops will be alternately opened during Thingyan. They have also issued the dates and times of the sales.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing claimed that Myawaddy Television has been broadcasting to give the public correct information and insights.
  • According to the junta Kachin State Government, the Kanpaity Economic Zone project will be implemented on the land of nearly 76 acres, including modern hotels and terminals.
  • The junta Central Bank stated that the Reserve Bank of India has agreed to the direct payment using Rupees or Kyats in the trade between the two countries.
  • In Mandalay Region, the junta army and plain clothes officers raided the NLD Office in Patheingyi Township. After taking off the signboard, they also destroyed the posters of General Aung San and Daw Aung San Su Kyi.
  • The Union Solidarity and Development Party charged the right-wing extremist Michael Kyaw Myint and some media outlets of the junta lobbyist with Section 66 C at Dakkhina Thiri Police Station in Nay Pyi Taw on 5 April.
  • In the east of Shweku Township in Kachin State, the junta army conducted no less than three aerial attacks on the local villages within a day. Reportedly, three villages were burnt to ashes.

  • The military junta has been carrying out unlawful activities, not only in conflict zones but also in urban areas. Their damage to Patheingyi Township NLD Office showed their true colours.
  • The junta leader has been advocating for Myawaddy TV Channel. In fact, people do not watch that channel as they know that it broadcasts the lies and propaganda news of the military junta, which cover up reality.
