Yangon Region

· In South Dagon Township, U Khin Kyaw or Ko Me Gyi, a member of NLD who opens a café and petrol shop in Ward (57), was shot by two unknown motorbikers at about 8:00 pm Monday. He was hit with bullets in his head and chest, and died.

· At about 9:00 am Tuesday, there were two explosions in front of the house of U Soe Myein, junta-appointed administrator of (94) Ward in Yuzana Garden City of Dagon Myothit Seikkam Township. Reportedly, an unexploded hand-made bomb was also found there.

· As the military junta couldn’t arrest Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, a Minister of the NUG, they arrested those close to him. On 12th April, they arrested Professor Dr. Maw Maw Oo, a staff member of the Emergency Department in Yangon General Hospital, and detained her at Insein prison. Reportedly, she tested COVID-19 positive there.

· In Yangon Region, the junta armed forces have been accompanying the staff members of the electricity department to the houses which do not pay electricity bills in Botataung, Pazundaung, Mingala Taung Nyunt and Kamayut Townships. They have been cutting down the power lines of some houses. For those who do not want to go to the office, they have also arranged vouchers to pay the bills during their tour.

· The Spring Revolution groups which have been in detention at Insein prison announced from the prison that regarding (59th) anniversary of July 7 Day, they do believe that the NUG will be able to discuss with ethnic organizations which have joined the revolution for the rights such as independent living and equality with the intention for Federal Union. They also believe that the NUG will be able to firmly sign a contract describing the plans for a future federal union. The military junta must give in to the public as soon as possible.

· At about 11:00 am Tuesday, U Tun Win, chair of the military-back USDP in Hlegu Township, was shot by some unknown people at the top of 2nd street. He was injured in his head and has been receiving medical treatment.

Mandalay Region

· A rally of Mandalay University Students marched up to Mandalay Thiri football ground on Tuesday morning and expressed their objection to the military dictatorship.

· A rally of Man Variety Forces protested against the military dictatorship, holding banners with words of strong determination. It included Tanpawady public, BEHS (7) alumni and residents.

· Man Myataung rally expressed their desire against the military dictatorship.

· The public in Chanmya Thazi Township expressed their desire for the end of the military dictatorship, holding signs- “Chan/Zi in Unity”.

· Amidst tight security measures by the junta armed forces, Aung Pinle rally took to the streets in the afternoon and expressed their objection to the military dictatorship.

· Taking to the streets, Manlay Pyinyat Monks’ Union expressed their desire for the release of those who have been unjustly arrested and against the military dictatorship.

· Residents of the villages in the east of Madaya Township expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship.

· The military junta arrested Poet Thwe Nay or Ko Nay Linn Htet from Tadaoo on 27th March, the public’s revolution day. After more than 100 days, they sentenced him to three years in prison on Tuesday, with the charge of Section (505-a).

· At about 10:00 am Tuesday, there was a sound bomb explosion at Myingyan B.E.H.S (2) where the junta armed forces and the junta-appointed administrator of Ward (4) have been staying. 

· In Myingyan Township, there were exchanges of gunfire near Kokke police station on Monday night. Reportedly, the junta armed forces have been stationing in Kokke school, Nabu Eain school and Myotha industrial zone.

· In Thabaung village group of Myingyan Township, the junta-appointed administrator of Necha village have been taking household appliance of the public (fridge, cooker, fan etc) and giving them to the junta armed forces stationing in the village.

Bago Region

· At about 6:30 pm Monday, there was an explosion on Yangon-Pyi railroad beyond Mawza village in Pyi.

Sagaing Region

· In Tamu Township, the village-joining bridge between Yanlinphai and Witone villages had been destroyed by an explosion on the night of 4th July. Tamu PDF announced that they condemned such destructive acts and they had nothing to do with that explosion.

· In Nyaunggone village of Kawlin Township, Daw Thae Thae was shot from a convoy of three military trucks on Monday morning while she was on a motorbike with her son on Byuha road. She was hit with a bullet in her belly and died.

· In Kawlin, 12 administrators, including township administrator, members of township administration council and second officer of the city development committee, have submitted letters of resignation.

· In Pale Township, U Bo Nu and U Kyaw Naing, two junta-appointed administrators, were attacked with knives at about 3:00 pm Monday, on their way back after sending guns to the training of Pyusawti members in the north of Ima village. U Kyaw Naing died on the spot in the scene. U Bo Nu was seriously injured and sent to Monywa hospital for medical treatment.

· In Kani Township, the junta armed forces, who had made an overnight stop in Itha village on Monday night, went up to the villages in different groups on Tuesday morning.

· A rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East went around the villages, conducted awareness-raising campaign on COVID-19 and protested against the military dictatorship.

· In Salingyi Township, Latbadaung Taung General Strike went around the villages with hundreds of people and expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship.

· In Butalin Township, a rally comprising the monks and the residents from various villages expressed their desire for the end of the military dictatorship.

· In Ywa Than village of Khin-U Township, a 63-year old man named U Ohn Myein was stabbed to death on Tuesday morning. He was a follower of the junta-appointed village administrator as well as allegedly an informer to the military junta.

· Young residents of Kalay went around the town on Tuesday evening and expressed their desire for the end of the military dictatorship.

Magwe Region

· At about 9:30 pm Monday, a sound bomb was thrown at the junta armed forces in charge of security for Natmauk B.E.H.S (3) Aung San school. Natmauk PDF announced that they had done it and they started to carry out their activities.

· Chanting that they would never stop, Myaing Township Basic Education Strike Committee and the local people from the northern zone made a protest against the military dictatorship at dawn Tuesday.

· Mango’ People’s Defense Group (Thayet) was established to make guerrilla attacks against the military junta and protect the public from the danger of the military junta.

· In Taungdwingyi Township, the military junta has been putting pressure on the CDM staff members of the public health department to resume their work. 

· In Saw Township, there was fighting between Saw PDF and the junta armed forces on Tuesday morning. Reportedly, the junta army lost 6 soldiers. A PDF member lost his life and so did a civilian.

· The youth in Yenangyaung Township made a leaf strike against the military dictatorship, placing anti-junta paper on leaves.

Ayeyarwady Region

· In Mawlamyeingyun Township of Laputta District, an explosive was found near the social security office. Instead of removing the explosive, the junta armed forces destroyed it.

· According to residents, no money was collected to test COVID-19 suspects in Yegyi during the tenure of the NLD government. But now, 10000 Kyats has been charged for each test-taker.

· In Wakema Township, an unexploded bomb was found on Shwelong bridge under security measures of the military on Tuesday morning. The junta armed forces removed it and concealed the news.

· Although the number of COVID-19 positive patients is on the rise in Pathein, the health department has been sending them home as there is no place left for them.

Taninthayi Region

· In Dawei, a 65-year old man named U Maung Myint was shot at his house in Daung Ngu Tanga Ward on Monday night. He was injured in the incident and has been receiving medical treatment at the military hospital. Guerrilla Dawei announced that they had carried it out as he was an informer to the military junta about protests in Dawei.

· Dawei Variety Forces, together with a rally of the youth, expressed their desire for the end of the military dictatorship.

· In Longlone Township, there were rallies against the military dictatorship in Nyinmaw, Lower Yebyu and Maungmagan villages.

· In Thayetchaung Township, U Thet Toe, junta-appointed administrator of Zaw Phya village, was shot dead by five young people in masks at his house at about 9:00 am Tuesday. His sister was hit with a bullet and sent to hospital in an ambulance. Her condition is still unknown.

· In Yebyu Township, Kanbauk residents made a protest against the military dictatorship, holding signs- “If there is fighting, there is victory”.

· In Thayetchaung Township, Bagyishaung villagers protested against the military dictatorship, holding signs- “We hate bullets. We hate guns. We hate injustice. We hate the junta”.

· In Lakku village of Pulaw Township, there was an explosion at the house of U Thet Naing, a junta-appointed administrator, at about 2:00 am Monday. After that, he has submitted a letter of resignation.

Kachin State

· In Pha-Kant Township, the junta army (297) from Yaduzut village shot mortars towards the places under the influence of the KIA regiment (14) at about 8:30 pm Monday. It still needs to be confirmed whether there were any injuries or not.

· The residents of Pha-Kant Tamakan Myothit protested against the military dictatorship, chanting “We fear the loss of our future more than the loss of our sense of smell”.

Kayah State

· Kayinni PDF announced that the military junta were giving the things that they had stolen from the public’s shops, saying that they had been supporting the residents whose houses were damaged during the battles in Kayah State. As there was no one

who accepted those things, the junta soldiers had to wear plain clothes and accepted them for records. Those construction materials were taken away by force from Pyae Aung Yadana house construction material shop in Dimawso Township. On 3rd July, the military junta gave them back with a ceremony.

· PKPF announced on Tuesday evening that the junta armed forces would conduct clearance-operation in Moebye, Pikin and Laeilatain in Phekone Township. Therefore, the residents are to stay safe and travel with care.

Kayin State

· In Mutraw of Phapon District where there were battles between the KNU regiment (5) and the junta armed forces, the IDPs are badly in need of medicines against Malaria and Diarrhoea due to the rainfalls.

Chin State

· In Tantalan, Bo Lay or Hein Wai Zin Latt, the second police officer of Tantalan police station, was shot dead at about 3:00 pm Monday while he was riding a motorbike. He had been threatening the CDM staff members and oppressing the transportation of food. Chinland Defense Force Tantalan announced that they had carried out the assassination.

· According to the Institute of Chin Affair, 81 Chin ethnic people from Chin State and other regions lost their lives due to the ruthless killing of the military junta after the coup.

Shan State

· In Taunggyi, the junta armed forces beat and arrested two young residents on Monday. At about 8:00 pm, they stopped a young motorbiker near Naibban cross-road in Kantha Ward and arrested him. At about 9:00 pm, 30 junta soldiers raided a house in Yadana Thiri Ward and arrested a young man.

· In Namkoat exemplary village of Hopone Township, the junta people’s army cut down the powerlines of the houses belonging to 15 residents who refused to pay electricity bills against the military dictatorship.

· In Pinlone of Shan South, the junta electricity office has been calling for the payments of electricity bills. They also removed meter boxes from some houses for not paying the electricity bills.

· In Muse, a dead body was found in the street behind a small car ground on Monday morning. Reportedly, up to 10 lifeless bodies were found from 1st to 5th July.

· In Muse, there was an explosion of a hand-made bomb near the brick fence of township electricity office on Tuesday morning. Reportedly, there was no injury. After the explosion, the junta armed forces arrived there and made inspections.

· At Hopone Computer and Technology Institute Army, more than 50 soldiers tested COVID-19 positive. Reportedly, the military junta concealed the news and made a lockdown in the army.

Rakhine State

· The junta administration announced that due to COVID-19 transmitted cases, all the border trade points in Rakhine State would be closed for two weeks from 15th to 31st July.

· On 28th February, a member of the Arakan League for Democracy and two other residents had been arrested for their protest against the military junta. They had been charged with Section (19) under the law of peaceful assembly and rally. In the trial on Tuesday, there were investigations to the evidence by the suer.

Nay Pyi Taw

· Myanmar Witness established with the support of the UK government has started their activities to investigate the evidence of human rights violations after the military coup, on 5th July. They will also share their findings with the IMM of the UN.

· The junta communication person General Zaw Min Tun said that an agreement has been reached during the trip of the junta leader to produce COVID-19 vaccines in the country with the cooperation of Russia.

· Since a week before the trip of the junta leader to Russia, a team led by Major General Vladimir Luvovich Kasatonov, second head officer of Russian marine forces, had been in the country. Reportedly, a team member was from Rosoboronexport weapon company in Russia. The U.S has put sanctions against that company.

· Russian foreign minister said during his Jakarta trip that Russia firmly approved of the diplomatic efforts of ASEAN to put an end to Myanmar’s political crisis and they have sent that message to Myanmar’s military leaders.

· According to AAPP, there were up to 892 innocent people who lost their lives due to ruthless killing after the military coup.

· Regarding the charge against public’s leader Daw Aung San Su Kyi, former President U Win Myint and former Chair of Nay Pyi Taw Council Dr. Myo Aung with Section (505-b), the lawyer team would appeal their objection to the evidence at the district court. Therefore, they requested not to continue investigating the suer U Soe Soe Shwe. However, the court rejected it and made investigations to him.

· The military junta has been preparing to sell state-owned land, 22 buildings and 6 warehouses all across the country to the business people close to them.

· The junta trade/commerce department warned that they would take action against those who sell food and medicines at high prices.

· Ministry for Children- NUG announced on Monday that the military junta must stop their arrests and violence against children.

Summary on 7th July

· In Yangon, the public protests were silent till the evening. However, there were more informer-clearance activities. The military junta tightened security all across the city with mobile patrols. They started to cut down the powerlines of the houses that refused to pay electricity bills. Moreover, they asked 300,000 Ks for the release of each person who had been beaten and arrested during the night.

· In Mandalay, there were still public protests with great momentum. The military junta kept patrolling in the city with cars. There were also the cars of some social organizations on the streets due to COVID-19 infection.

· In Kawlin of Sagaing Region where the military junta faced a great loss, they have been strengthening their manpower and thus, the residents have to run away.

· In big towns and villages of other states and regions, there were still protests against the military dictatorship. In Shan State, the public protests were silent due to COVID-19 infection in almost every township.

· The military junta don’t have sufficient medical personnel for the high rate of COVID-19 transmitted cases. Therefore, they have been putting more pressure on the staff members who have joined the CDM. They have been preparing to sell state-owned land and buildings. They have been confronted with hardships in local currency. To gain legitimacy in the international community, they have been putting efforts through Russia and China. They have also been preparing to counter-act the public protests and the armed revolution in the country in various ways.
