Yangon Region

· Due to the high rate of COVID-19 infection in Insein prison, it is on lockdown with incoming and outgoing restrictions.

· Anti-Fascism Force announced that Yangon No. (2) Traffic Police Force and Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation (YESC) are involved in the taxation to the military junta. They are to stop such activities and if not, there may be unwanted damages.

· Yangon Urban Guerrillas – YUG, established with 14 Yangon-based revolution groups, announced that the traffic police and staff members of the electricity department are to stop their activities for the administration operation of the military junta. If not, their lives and property will not be guaranteed. YUG has carried out explosions at 6 places as warning signs.

· A rally of 100 people led by Ba-Ka-Tha made a protest on Maha Bandula roads in Yangon, holding big signs - “Fight with 7th-July spirit. Uproot the military dictatorship in every possible way”.

· In Thingangyun Township, a rally of Thuwunna youth and local youth made a guerrilla protest against the military dictatorship.

· The military junta has been installing CCTV cameras at crowded cross-road traffic lights in Yankin Township.

· In South Okkalapa Township, staff members of the junta electricity department have been calling for the payment of electricity bills.

· At about 1:00 pm, the junta armed forces raided a house on Thiri street in Sanchaung Township and arrested a man. Reportedly, they also took away the furniture from the house.

· In Shwe Pyi Tha Township where military rule has been declared, the junta armed forces have been blocking off the public streets, arresting people on motorbikes, beating motorbikers and shooting people dead. Shwe Pyi Tha Underground Revolution Force announced on Wednesday that they would raid and attack those armed forces if they continue to do so.

· The junta communication department has been preparing to broadcast Tha-Pyay radio in Yangon and surrounding areas, starting from 11th July. They announced that it would include a programme which would expose the fake news.

· On 59th anniversary of 7th July, the youth and students in Insein Township took to the streets and made a guerrilla protest against the military dictatorship.

· At about 3:40 pm Wednesday, there were two explosions at the electricity office in Tamwe Township where there have been power-cuts for not paying electricity bills. After the incident, a large number of junta police and soldiers tightened security at the crossroads in the township.

· In Tamwe Township, a combining rally of Yangon townships protested against the military dictatorship, holding signs - “Don’t forget 7.7.62”. It included the general public, in addition to Sanchaung, Mingala Taung Nyunt and Hlaing Thaya rallies.

Mandalay Region

· With the demonstration of the 7th July event, a rally of Man Variety Forces expressed their desire for the end of the military dictatorship. It included Seinban, Cooperative University, Monks’ Union, and Tanpawady and Mandala University Students.

· Despite the rain, a rally of Mandalay-based Ta-Ka-Tha expressed their objection to the military dictatorship.

· On Wednesday morning, the members of Chanaye Thazan Township Basic Education Students’ Union held an event in memory of the 59th July 7th event.

· Holding signs - “Don’t forget 7.7.62”, Mandala University students went round the town and expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship.

· A rally of Man Health Family protested against the military dictatorship on Wednesday afternoon, holding signs - “Don’t forget 7.7.62”.

· With a large number of people, Aung Pinle General Strike took to the streets and expressed their objection to the military dictatorship.

· The rallies of Man Myataung and Gems Traders took to the streets on Wednesday afternoon and expressed their desire for an end to the military dictatorship.

· Manlay Pyinyat Monks’ Union take to the streets every day without fail and peacefully express their desire for the release of those who have been unjustly arrested and against the military dictatorship.

· A rally of Mandalay-based Ta-Ka-Tha went up to 35 road in the downtown area and made a protest against the military dictatorship.

· Two policemen in charge of security at the residence of U Kyaw San, junta-appointed mayor of Mandalay, tested COVID-19 positive. Reportedly, the residence has been disinfected with the budget of the city development committee.

· Mingyan Technology University Students’ Union, Ba-Ka-Tha and the local residents expressed their desire for an end of the military dictatorship at crowded markets and crossroads on Wednesday morning, calling for fighting with 7th July spirit.

· According to Myingyan Public Movement Committee, the junta armed forces arrested 7 local residents of the villages in Myingyan Township.

Bago Region

· In Pyi, the junta armed forces came to the house of U Kyaw Zayya, NLD regional MP, twice, took security measures and took away property from the house.

· To commemorate 7th July, young students of Pyi Technology University Students’ Union made an indoors strike, holding anti-junta posters.

· In Pyi, members of Basic Education Students’ Union made a guerrilla protest against the military dictatorship in town.

· Bago PDF announced on Wednesday that they have established a PDF regiment (2) to strengthen their fight against the military junta.

· In Bago, an explosion happened while the junta armed forces were removing a banner containing Daw Aung San Su Kyi which was hung at the moat. A junta soldier died in the incident. The People’s Defence Force Bago announced on Wednesday morning that they had carried it out.

· Due to the high rate of COVID-19 infection in Bago Region, Pyi, Taungoo and Bago have been declared stay-at-home townships, starting from Wednesday.

Sagaing Region

· In Htantaw village of Tantse, a young motorbiker shot his gun at COVID-19 test booth on Chaungyoe-Ywatha road on Tuesday morning. A man named U Tin Myint died in the incident. The gunman also opened fire at his house near the booth. Reportedly, his daughter and nephew were hit with bullets and they were injured.

· In Shwebo Township, U Tin Tun, a Wetthe villager and USDP member, was shot dead at close range by a motorbiker at about 10:00 am Tuesday when he came to his son in Taohn village. Allegedly, he had connections with the military junta and was also a Pyusawti member.

· In a village of Kani Township, an explosion happened while the villagers were watching people checking an unexploded RPG shell fired earlier by the junta armed forces. A man of 35 died in the incident and so did two girls aged 2 and 4. In addition, another 4 men were injured.

· In commemoration of 7th July on which Yangon Students’ Union had faced a crackdown, Monywa General Strike went up to Martyrs’ road, went round the town with a large number of people, burnt the flag of North West Military and expressed their desire for the end of the military dictatorship.

· In Kalay, young students went round the town and protested against the military dictatorship, holding signs - “We cannot forget 7th July”. They also wrote “Don’t forget 7.7.62” in red paint on the school walls. In the afternoon, local residents made a motorbike protest with banners saying “Nobody can destroy the union spirit”.

· A rally comprising various villages from Salingyi North and Yinmabin East expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship, holding signs - “Don’t forget 7.7.62”.

· In Salingyi Township, Latbadaung Taung General Strike went round the villages and expressed their desire for the downfall of the military dictatorship.

· In Ayadaw, the general public and the students from the northern villages made a motorbike strike against the military dictatorship.

· In Dibeyin Township, local residents expressed their desire for the end of the military dictatorship, holding signs - “We won’t let the history of Dibeyin be ruined”.

Magwe Region

· At about 7:30 pm Tuesday, there was an explosion on Kanna road in Ward (9) of Pakkoku. Three local residents were injured in the incident.

· On 22nd April, the junta armed forces had arrested a Pakkoku-based journalist named Ko Chit Min Hlaing in Ward (14). Reportedly, he has now received a three year prison sentence under Section (505-a).

· The youth in Natmauk made a paper strike against the military dictatorship, with posters saying “If you don’t forget 7.7.62, do more revolution starting from 7.7.21”. In the evening, some young residents protested against the military dictatorship, holding banners - “Our blood won’t cool down without the repayment of bloody debt”.

· In the eastern zone of Myaing, education staff members and local residents expressed their desire for the end of the military dictatorship, holding signs with words of strong determination.

Ayeyarwady Region

· Pathein residents made a protest against the military dictatorship at dawn, holding posters - “Whichever town is attacked, it’s our business”.

Taninthayi Region

· In Thayetchaung Township, the people in Yantaung village made a protest at dawn and expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship. Amidst the rain, Thingyun villagers went round the village in commemoration of 7th July and protested against the military dictatorship. A rally of young students from Thayet Hnakwa expressed their objection to the military dictatorship, raising Ba-Ka-Tha flags.

· In Thayet Hnakwa village of Thayetchaung Township, Mg Kyaw Linn and Mg Kyaw Pai Soe have been out of touch with their family members since 27th June. Reportedly, they were arrested by the junta armed forces near the region’s bridge at the entrance to Dawei after their mobile phones were checked. They were detained first at Dawei army (401) and then transferred to Dawei prison on Tuesday.

· A rally of Dawei Variety Forces and young students protested against the military dictatorship, holding signs - “Don’t forget 7.7.62”.

· In Longlone Township, a rally of education family and local residents of Yebyu village made a protest against the military dictatorship at dawn. In Gauin village, the local people conducted a rally for the downfall of the military dictatorship.

· In Longlone Township, a rally comprising a large number of people from five villages (Kyetyetdwin, Pyinchaung, Natsinshaung, Hinchodaw and Mainmachaw) expressed their desire for the end of the military dictatorship.

· After the coup, the amount of border trade in Taninthayi Region has decreased up to $471 million, compared to that of the same period last year. The border trade points in the region are Htiki, Mawtaung and Kawthaung.

· Led by Democratic Movement Committee (Dawei District), an event was conducted in memory of 7th July in Longlone Township to protest against the military dictatorship.

Kachin State

· In Hopin Township, U Than Wai, a local resident of Ywathitgyi village, was arrested at about 8:00 pm Tuesday, with the excuse that he had been making weapons. After that, the junta armed forces stopped three villagers on a bullock cart for inspection. Although the driver tried to stop his cart at once, he couldn’t do it and it seemed as if he would run away. The junta armed forces shot him dead. They took away his dead body on Wednesday morning.

· At about 10:30 pm Tuesday, 20 junta soldiers placed sheets of paper with the name of the announcement by Kachin Army of Kachin National Organization (KNO) in some wards of Bamaw. That paper said that on behalf of Kachin people, KNO has called on KNU KIO/ KIA to inspect and punish the informers for the protection of Kachin State and Kachin People.

· In Pha-Kant Township, the junta armed forces who had come from Tamakan Myothit on foot were attacked with mines at about 6:00 am Wednesday near Seinaung village. Reportedly, a lot of them died with many others injured.

· Amidst tight security measures by the junta armed forces, the local residents of Pha-Kant Tamakan Myothit protested against the military dictatorship, holding signs - “Don’t forget 7.7.62”.

· Amidst the rain, the people in Moegaung made a protest against the military dictatorship at dawn, holding signs - “We will never kneel down before your army boots”.

· In Chihwe Township, a junta soldier was seen floating in Mayka river and was found dead near Chihwe suspension bridge on Wednesday morning. He had been missing since Tuesday night.

Kayar State

· Kayar State Students’ Union (KSSU) expressed their disapproval of the military dictatorship, raising signs - “We cannot forget 7th July”.

· On 4th July, the junta armed forces arrested a young man who returned to Wayikawku from Lwaikaw, for the reason that he had posted the picture of the public’s leader Daw Aung San Su Kyi as the profile picture on his social media on his phone. There have been up to 135 people who were unjustly arrested in Kayar State.

Chin State

· On Wednesday, CNO/CNDF issued an announcement in honour of 5 Chin ethnic men who lost their lives in the battle against the junta armed forces in Phalan on 29th June. They also expressed their deepest condolences to their family members.

Mon State

· In Yay Township, there was an explosion at the house of U Thaung Po, a member of the junta Pyusawti, in Asin village at about 8:00 pm Tuesday. Reportedly, at least two people were injured and one of them was in serious condition.

· Led by Mawlamyein University Students’ Union, an event in commemoration of 7th July was held in a free territory. 

· In Paung Township, the education family, together with the youth and students, protested against the military dictatorship, holding signs - “Don’t forget 7.7.62”.

Rakhine State

· While there are deaths from COVID-19 infection in Rakhine State, the number of dengue fever cases is on the rise.

Shan State

· Shan State Federal Force (SSFF) was established on 7th July for anti-dictatorship, democracy, federal, the rights to create one’s own destiny and peace. Moreover, Shan State Liberation Party was formed as a political leading party.

· Naungcho and Taunggyi PDFs have formed an alliance for the fight against the military dictatorship as well as for the clearance activities of the junta organizations, Pyusawti members and informers.

· With the excuse of the high rate of COVID-19 infection, a curfew between 10:00 pm and 4:00 am was issued in Kaungka Myothit of Kukkai Township, starting from Wednesday.

· The youth in Lasho made an indoors paper strike against the military dictatorship, with anti-junta slogans on paper.

· The members of Taunggyi Basic Education Students’ Union lowered half of the Union flag and held an event in honour of the students who had lost their lives in the 7th July revolution.

· The public from Hopone made a guerrilla protest against the military dictatorship, holding signs - “We will never forget 7th July”.

Nay Pyi Taw

· Former Captain U Zaw Naing Win, PSO of the State Counsellor and deputy director of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was sentenced to 7 years in prison last month with the charge of Section (409) for breaking confidentiality. He resigned from work at the time of military coup. He took part in supporting anti-junta movements and CDM staff members.

· According to AAPP, there were up to 894 innocent people who lost their lives due to ruthless killing and torture of the military junta after the coup up until 6th July.

· In Nay Pyi Taw where the military junta has been taking office, the youth made a paper strike against the military dictatorship.

· In the meeting between Japanese MPs and the NUG on Tuesday, Japan said that they would help the NUG, that is the real government by the evidence of Myanmar people.

· The military junta announced that official licenses would be issued for the motorbikes without license with a one-stop service starting from Wednesday to 19th August.

· Due to the high rate of COVID-19 infection in Nay Pyi Taw, Pyinmana and Zambu Thiri have been declared stay-at-home townships starting from Wednesday.

· The Japanese government extended the visa of 300 Myanmar people in Japan due to the political instabilities in Myanmar after the military coup. Reportedly, there were 50 people who applied for the status of refugee.

Summary on 7th July

· In Yangon, there were public protests on the streets to mark 59th anniversary of 7th July revolution. After the warnings to traffic police offices and electricity offices that have been making money for the military junta, there was an explosion at Tamwe Township electricity office. To conduct a counter-narrative, the military junta have been preparing to broadcast a radio channel in Yangon and neighbouring areas. They have tightened security in almost every township with mobile patrols.

· In Mandalay, public protests against the military dictatorship were ongoing with great momentum. The junta armed forces made normal patrols with just a few members. There were still plain clothes people entering and leaving the junta administration offices.

· In the townships of Sagaing Region, there were still public protests against the military dictatorship. There were also informer-clearance activities almost every day.

· In big towns of other states and regions, there were still public protests. As for Shan and Chin states, they had almost no protests due to the high rate of COVID-19 infection.

· In their efforts to gain legitimacy in the international community, the military junta has been confronted with pressure due to the activities by the NUG. They have also faced a great loss in the country due to public protests and armed revolution. Owing to economic hardships, they have been carrying out activities for new taxation. Due to their weak administration amidst the high rate of COVID-19 infection, there has been a great loss in the country.
