The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • On Tuesday, there was a meeting via video conferencing between the Committee Representing the Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and Japanese MPs.
  • At 10:00 am Tuesday, there was a meeting between the People’s Police Force under the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration- NUG and the People’s Security Forces from Sagaing Region and Magwe Region.
  • Yangon PDF Headquarters (5101) under the Ministry of Defence- NUG announced that they had conducted some collective exercises.
  • In the meeting of the Financial Commission, the Acting President of the NUG called for no waste of financial resources and the use of more budget in prioritized sectors.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In Ayeyarwady Region, the military junta removed their inspection gates on the entrances and exits of towns in 3 townships.
  • On Tuesday night, there were bomb explosions near Insein Prison in Yangon Region.
  • To warn the military junta that they will never be able to rule Hlaing Thaya Township, there were explosions on Wednesday morning.
  • In Ayadaw Township of Sagaing Region, Danger Force LPDF conducted an attack with 107mm grenades on No. (10) training army of the military junta.
  • In Salingyi Township, the junta army arrested 15 people from Moegyoe Pyin Village. Reportedly, they have been abusing them as hostages during their invasion.
  • In Katha Township, the junta army has been invading since early June. They have also been burning local villages. Consequently, they have had battles against PDFs. Reportedly, no less than 3 junta soldiers died.
  • On Wednesday morning, a rally of Yinmabin North marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Taninthayi Township of Taninthayi Region, there was an attack on the junta army stationed in the monastery of Chaung Nyiko Village on Tuesday. Reportedly, no less than 10 junta soldiers died in the incident.
  • On 2 June, the Union Supreme Court accepted the plea for a hearing related to the gold and dollar charge against State Counsellor Daw Aung San Su Kyi.
  • In Mahlaing Township of Mandalay Region, 8 junta soldiers died in local battles by PDFs on Monday.
  • In Natoegyi Township of Mandalay Region and Yetashay Township of Bago Region, the junta village administrator and hundred-household administrator, the members of the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP), were shot dead.
  • In Kyaukgyi Township of Bago Region, the junta armed forces fired heavy artillery into villages. Consequently, 20,000 people from over 10 local villages have had to run away.
  • On Wednesday, Ma Muse, the Director of the Rural Land, gave 100,000 MMK to each of the 39 CDM healthcare staff members in Kayar State.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • According to the Karen National Union- KNU (Central), the junta army targeted religious buildings in their attacks, killing 4 people; a monk, a child and two civilians.
  • In Kyaukgyi Township under KNU Brigade (3) in Bago Region, a combined force of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and PDFs attacked the junta stations in Natthangwin. Reportedly, more than 30 junta members died.
  • In Myitkyina of Kachin State, two officers of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) were arrested at a guesthouse.
  • According to the Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (KNDF), they called for public contributions to buy a weapon to cut off the junta’s air support. Reportedly, the weapon arrived.
  • A combined force of Dimawso PDF, taking up arms against the junta army in Kayar/ Karenni State, has been carrying out a campaign for the procurement of an MG 3 gun.

The Military Council

  • In Yay Township of Mon State, a landmine set by the junta army went off near the stream of Kyoetadar Village. Reportedly, a civilian was seriously injured in his right leg.
  • In Laukkai Township in Shan State, there were exchanges of fire between the two militias under the military junta in the town of Shwe Hsin. According to the Kokang, 2 members died in the incident.
  • Ko Kaung Zarni Hein, allegedly the assassin of the nationalist Li Li Naing Kyaw in Yangon Region, was arrested by the junta army. Reportedly, his mother and his sister were shot dead by religious extremists and Pyusawti members on Tuesday night.
  • The junta MPT mobile service has been calling registered customers claiming that their SIM cards have not been registered yet. Consequently, many users have faced difficulty.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing was present at the religious funeral of the Chair Monk of the State Sangha Committee in Maha Aungmye Township of Mandalay Region.
  • The military junta arrested a retired police officer in Ayeyarwaddy Region for writing a comment under a social media post about the death of Li Li Naing Kyaw.
  • The second junta leader Soe Win claimed that they would soon be able to supply power to Sittway and Ponnagyun, the areas hit by the Cyclone Mocha in Rakhine State, via 11KV power stations.
