Spring University fees to be paid using NUG Pay

The Spring University has issued a statement saying that all of its students will have to pay their fees using the NUG Pay payment, a system that is independent of the Myanmar junta and completely secure.

Spring University was established with a dual mission: to provide millions of Myanmar youths access to education during the political crisis and fundraising to help support scholars at risk and in vulnerable communities.

The Spring University has plans to collaborate with foreign educational organisations to improve the quality of education and there are plans to open more short and long-term educational courses, according to a representative of the Spring University.

Currently, the Spring University offers 507 courses and has 200 Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) teachers and trainers, who have refused to work for the junta. So far, 13,000 students from across Myanmar have attended online courses run by the Spring University.

NUG Pay has a cashflow of up to 7 billion Digital Myanmar Kyats (DMMK). It allows users to make and take secure payments. People wanting to open an NUG Payment account have to do so with an authorised NUG Pay representative.
