Myanmar State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi on Wednesday expressed belief that the long hoped-for union peace will be achieved with the collective strength of all stakeholders and people, Xinhua reported.
Suu Kyi, in her capacity as chair of the National Reconciliation and Peace Centre, made the remarks at the opening ceremony of the fourth meeting of the 21st Century Panglong Peace Conference which kicked off in capital Nay Pyi Taw earlier Wednesday.
The state counsellor urged all stakeholders including the military, the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) signatories, namely the ethnic armed organizations who have signed the NCA, and non-signatories to grasp the opportunities emerging from the peace processes.
