Members of Kyopinkauk Township Students Union Federation held an anti-junta protest on the eve of the Myanmar Water Festival or Thingyan on 11 April morning by hanging banners in Paypinkon village, Gyobingauk Township in the western part of Bago region.

“This protest is aimed to give the message to the public not to participate in the water festival entertainment of the Military Council," said a member of the protest group.

In addition, they also condemned the airstrikes conducted by the military on Pazigyi village in Kantbalu Township on 11 April.

The protesters also called on the public for united effort to carry out social punishment and boycott all the activities of the military regime.
