Taiwanese locals participate in air raid drills and head to closest shelter in capital city Taipei’s Huhsin neighbourhood, simulating response to Chinese missile attacks, in several cities on Monday.

"The residents are actively participating in the drill...there is more or less a tense atmosphere," says Tsai Yin-fong, Huhsin neighbourhood chief.
