Tatmadaw (government troops) and Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) clashed on November 24 near Mogok. Tatmadaw True News Information Team spokesman Brig. Gen. Zaw Min Tun told Mizzima that in a one-hour long clash Tatmadaw lost one soldier and one was wounded.

TNLA spokesman Maj. Tar Aik Kyaw said that this was an accidental engagement and it lasted only about 20 minutes and both sides had already withdrawn.

They did not know yet the casualty figures after fighting with heavy weapons and TNLA troops withdrew after fighting, TNLA spokesman Maj. Tar Aik Kyaw added.
