UN report evidence of 'grave human rights abuses' in Xinjiang: Amnesty International

Amnesty International Australia campaigner Nikita White reacts to a UN investigation into China's treatment of Muslim minorities in its vast Xinjiang region which reported torture, sexual abuse and possible crimes against humanity but stopped short of describing it as genocide. White says the report is strong and should be a wake-up call to the international community on human rights violations in the region. "This report really lays bare the scale, the severity of human rights abuses that are taking place in Xinjiang," White says.
