Union Accord implementation meeting held

Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement held a coordination meeting at his headquarters in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday, state media reported.

The meeting discussed the effective implementation of sectors related to the ministry in the parts of the Union Accord.

At the meeting, Union Minister Dr Win Myat Aye said the peace process is being carried out with the holding of four meetings of Union Peace Conference-the 21st Century Panglong. He continued parts of the Union Accord were signed in the recent conferences, with 37 points of agreement in the 2nd conference, 14 points of agreement in the 3rd conference and 20 points of agreement in the 4th conference, totally 71 points of agreements were reached and all staff members, including the ethnic nationalities in border areas, need to know the relevant sectors to their ministry extensively.
