A couple of Union Solidarity and Development Party(USDP) members were shot dead in Palaw Township’s Kadae Village, in Tanintharyi Region’s Myeik District, according to locals.
According to a local the two victims were Myint Zaw and Khin Mar Win were the big informants to the Military Council and they were shot dead at around 6 p.m. on 14 March.
“Their family members are all USDP members. His brother-in-law, Kalani, is the people's military leader in Palaw Gone”, said a villager from Kadae Village.
They were shot dead at their house.
"They were always creating problems for the village. One of his children is a municipal worker and another one is a police officer”, a resident from Palaw Township said.
Palaw Township has been the scene of frequent clashes between local people's defense forces (PDFs) and Military Council troops.
