Six people including a 12-year-old were arrested in Tanintharyi’s Myeik Town on 1 and 2 September, according to local news sources.
On 1 September junta troops who were checking overnight guest registrations in Myeik Town’s Taung Pyo Ward beat up and arrested a 12-year-old and both of their parents. The troops also stole a motorcycle and money from their house.
On the evening of 2 September, a woman working at a pharmacy in Taung Pyo Ward and two of her family members were arrested.
Currently, there is no information about what has happened to the detained people.
