Armed clashes between junta forces and local defence forces near Thantlang Township, Chin State, left at least 5 dead soldiers, according to the Chin Defence Forces on 27 September.

The CDF has offered junta troops to join them, and they would be warmly welcomed and sent to safe places.

As junta forces shelled Thantlang Township, all civilians have fled.
