The Arakan Army (AA) has issued an emergency notice warning of possible major clashes in Rakhine State in the near future.

According to the AA this is because the junta has been reinforcing its forces in all of Rakhine State with more personnel, ammunition, military vehicles, helicopters and warships.

The junta is using roads and rivers to move its reinforcements, so the AA will be setting up surprise checkpoints on both roads and rivers, according to the notice.

It also instructed all vehicle owners to notify their local administrative office before traveling out of their local area and warned that anybody who did not, did so at their own risk.

The AA has also warned that military tensions are at heightened level in Rakhine State.
