Myint Hlaing (aka) Kala, the administrator of Shwelinban (23) Ward, was shot in an operation by three People’s Defence Force groups in Hlaing Tharyar Township, Yangon region at 7.30 pm on January 8.

The shooting was jointly carried out by God of Death, Free Tiger Ranger group and Spring Revolution Flames SRF.

According to a representative of the SRF, Myint Hlaing was shot with two guns, despite having people known as Pyu Saw Htee guarding his home.

“The exact extent of the damage is unknown after the shooting. An investigation is underway,” he said.

"I would like to reiterate that the administrators should resign by giving a reason for what is happening now. I have heard some people say they were forced to leave. Now is a good time to leave. If not, we have to wipe out them,” the SRF representative said.

In related news, two soldiers were killed when gunmen opened fire on a group of junta troops who are stationed beside a police traffic office near Yone Shait bus-stop in Hlaing Tharyar Township, on January 6.
