‘Ae Do Paw Mi’ festival in Kayah State shortened due to COVID

Because of COVID, the annual ethnic Kayah traditional festival ‘Ae Do Paw Mi’ or ‘Dee Ku’ will be shortened this year, festival organizing committee Chairman Khoo Hpae Thoo said.

The festival is scheduled to be held from September 25 to 30 in Law Playar village, south of Hpruso town. The festival organizing committee will invite only local people from villages including local elders in limited number.

Khoo Hpae Thoo also said this year there would be no cultural exhibition booths.
