ANP says cancellation of election results could exacerbate political crisis

The Arakan National Party (ANP) said on July 27 that the cancellation of the 2020 general election results could exacerbate the political crisis.

The Union Election Commission appointed by the Military Council announced that the results of the election held on November 8, 2020 will be nullified, saying the election was not free and fair.

Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) issued a statement on July 27 saying that people's power is elected by the people, who are the original owners of sovereignty, and it cannot be annulled by an illegal order of any group.
