According to a revolutionary group based in Yangon, an anti-dictatorship song was played through loudspeakers at a local market in the centre of Yangon on 20 September in the morning.

The purpose of this protest was to spread and inspire the revolutionary spirit among the people. Despite the Military Council's oppression, resistance attacks continue in urban areas and protests are made to make sure the revolutionary spirit remains strong.

O-Mi, a protestor from the Sanchaung Strike Column said, “The continued enthusiasm and cooperation of the people are indicative of our unwavering revolutionary spirit.”

The movement involves protests, and the playing of revolutionary songs. During the protest, soldiers from the Military Council did not arrive immediately but showed up to inspect the area about 30 minutes after the event.

The protest aims to show that the people, along with revolutionary soldiers, are united in their determination to continue the revolution, according to the resistance group.

Ko Peter, the chairman of the Sanchaung Strike Column, strongly encourages people to boycott military products that support the Military Council. This boycott is seen as an effective way to resist the oppressive army without requiring direct public involvement.
