Beijing on Monday criticises the "individual British politician" of "making irresponsible remarks" when asked about UK Prime Minister contender Rishi Sunak's tough China policy pledge.

It also says China is "getting seriously prepared" for the possible US Speaker Pelosi's Taiwan visit, and will take "firm and effective measure" if US insists on its own course.
