The GOD of Death people’s militia group claimed responsibility for a bomb that injured three pedestrians when it exploded near a bus stop outside the Bayintnaung (532) Battalion base in Yangon’s Hlaing Tharyar Township, between the hours of 6:15 and 6:25 pm on Sunday 27 March.

The group apologized to the three pedestrians who were wounded.

"It was said that three people were hurt by the bomb in front of the junta’s battalion. Two of them were wounded and the remaining one seemed to be unconscious. From a distance, we could not see clearly," said an officer from the God of Death group.

27 March, when the bomb attack took place is Armed Forces Day.

The group also conducted a similar bomb attack on 9 March near Kamar Kyi in Yangon’s Thingangyun Township.
