A bomb explosion took place near a pandal for the Thingyan festival close to the Yan Tiang Aung Pagoda in Lashio Township, Shan State, at 11:45 am on 13 April.

Four men were killed, and some other bystanders were injured in the incident.

A local in Lashio township said, “Four men were reportedly killed, and some others were wounded in the explosion.”

No one has claimed responsibility for the blast to date.

People’s Defence Forces have warned people to stay away from water festival pandals and celebration sites.
