Cyclone Mocha will be a tropical low-pressure system as it approaches Kachin State in Myanmar.

Heavy rain and moderate winds are expected to develop in the next 24 hours, according to Sonia Leonard, researcher on Climate Change and Disaster Management who is tracking the cyclone.

She issues a warning that heavy rains may cause localized flooding and landslides.
