Defence forces kill three Myanmar junta soldiers in Magwe Region attack

Sixteen defense forces teamed up and killed three junta soldiers when they attacked a junta army camp in Inpin Village, Magwe Region, on 30 September.

At about 3:00 p.m. the defence forces launched their attack on the junta military camp in Inpin Village in Magwe Region’s Pakokku Township. They attacked with drones and artillery before sending in scouts and guerrilla ground forces. 

Young Force UG, one of the groups involved in the attack said that the defence forces heavy artillery allowed their ground forces to approach the village perimeter and engage the junta soldiers in combat. 

The junta responded by firing M40 mortars at the attackers and the two sides fought for over an hour. Three junta soldiers were killed and another four were injured in the attack, according to a source who spoke to Mizzima.

Also, one civilian was killed and another was injured in the attack. A statement by Young Force UG said they were very saddened to hear about the civilian casualties.

Some of the 16 defence forces involved in the attack were: Pakokku Rangers, Thakhin Mya (Heavy artillery force), Black Cobra Force, ThuRain (TR-company), Pakokku Urban Guerilla Force (1) & (2), King Cobra, Urban Underground Revolution Force(UURF), Yesagyo Revolution Group (YRG), Aung Tha Pyay (PDF), King Fighter, Royal Defence Force (RDF), and Young Force UG.
