Families wait outside Myanmar prison as junta announces release of prisoners

Families wait outside Insein prison in Myanmar's Yangon, hoping to meet their loved ones after the junta announced it would pardon over 800 prisoners to mark the country's Union Day.

Myanmar has been in turmoil since last year's coup, with more than 1,500 killed in a military crackdown and over 12,000 arrested, according to a local monitoring group.
