Food supplies worth about 400 million kyats will be distributed in Pyinmana

Pyinmana Township administrator Thike Phyo Wai said that five items of food supplies would be distributed to 27,428 households who had no regular income in Pyinmana Township Naypyitaw Council (union) territory during Thingyan festival while people were being restricted in their movement.

The five food items are 8 pyi of rice (approx. 16 Kg), 50 ticals of edible oil (approx. 0.75 Kg), pulses 1 viss (approx. 1.5 kg), and salt.

There is no specific instruction in designating people not having regular income but motorcycle taxi drivers, masons, landless farmers, odd job workers and roadside vendors will reportedly be included in this category but government employees and private company employees with regular income will be excluded from this list.

There are 25 village-tracts and 11 Wards in Pyinmana Township and over 40,000 households.
