Houses and shops within 300 feet of the road boundary are being forcibly demolished to widen No. 3 highway Road in Mingaladon Township, Yangon region, according to a nearby resident.

"All the houses and shops along the road are being destroyed by bulldozer, including military vehicles, a custody vehicle and municipal vehicle. If residents do not agree to the destruction, they will be taken to a custody vehicle and arrested immediately," a traveller who saw the incident told Mizzima.

So far, everything on the boundaries of the road from Highway toll gate No.3 to Aung Mingalar traffic light are being demolished.
