Inquiry Committee Chairman Thae Re said that their report on impeachment against Kayah State government Chief Minister L Phaung Sho will be tabled in State assembly on September 2.

“The decision on this impeachment will be taken by division of votes. If we get enough votes on this impeachment in our favour, CM L Phaung Sho must forward this impeachment to the President in accordance with the law,”

The impeachment was made against Kayah State CM L Phaung Sho for his alleged misuse of funds from leasing state-owned machinery and equipment, and a dispute designating land as a public space meant for a holding Kayah State Day function.
