Insein Township election commission branch chairman Kyaw Lin said that the office was closed temporarily and it did not allow anyone to visit it after the secretary of their branch was infected with COVID-19 virus.

The secretary is concurrently serving as the secretary of Sawbwar Gyi Kone Ward administrative office.

The chairman of this Sawbwar Gyi Kone Ward administrative office was infected with COVID-19 virus and then the secretary was probably infected too as a primary contact, Kyaw Lin added.

Despite the temporary closure, they would work on a two-week work, two-week off basis when the office can be reopened, Kyaw Lin said.
