Junta guard post attacked with grenade in Aung Myay Thar San township

A Junta guard post stationed in front of May Ga Gi Yi ward administration office, was attacked with a grenade in Aung Myay Thar San township, Mandalay division on December 9.

Mandalay Phoenix Force (M.P.F) announced in a statement that MPF and Mandalay People Rescue (MPR) attacked with a grenade while ten junta soldiers and police were stationed at May Ga Gi Yi ward administration office, between 16th and 17th streets, Aung Myay Thar San township.

“According to the local reports, three junta soldiers and a ward administration officer were killed and two people were injured when they came to dump garbage. Casualty details are still being investigated,” an information officer of the MPF told Mizzima.

“One Lieutenant, one sergeant, a ward administration officer and an unknown identified person were killed according to local residents. We sincerely apologize for the two injured civilians when they came to dump garbage at the time of the explosion. M.P.F sincerely apologize to the two affected civilians,” he added.
